The time has come in the season for buttoning up the berm. Today we are putting the final touches on this new garden for the winter by re-edging the entire space and adding a nice thick layer of a compost/mulch blend.

You're videos are always so informative. Such a joy to watch! I have a dog related question for you. How did you keep your sweet girl from getting into you plants? She is pretty much always with you and so well behaved. We just got a 7 month old Berner and he is sweet, but loves to put things his mouth that don't belong there. We are working on a solid "leave it," but I was just curious if you had any other tips?
I love to see the devolopment of the berm. Beautiful shrubs and trees.
I woud make the outher line less whirly, if you understand what I mean. Without the little curves makes it more quiet for the eye.

In zone 6a/MA: The foliage on our PJM (Peter J Mezzitt) rhododendrons turn that beautiful color too when the cold weather starts…it’s nice to know the perfecto mundo do too (I’ve had my eye on them!)
