I think a civil war would certainly be the result if my government (USA) tried to prevent us from owning property. And most, if not all of the republicans would fight it too. You can be sure it has occurred to them: a reason why they love their guns so much. And they're right, IMO.
As I am sure you know, all the communists countries are really socialist countries, because in "true" communism" no individual, owns their own private property. And no one owns another's property: it is owned collectively, and it's a stateless society.
Have yet to see that.

Free Enterprise that came with the Industrial Revolution was the turning point for the common man because it allowed people to earn real wages and provide everything they needed in life for themselves instead of having it provided to them by the aristocracy, which essence were the agrarian elites. They owned all the properties, owned all the farms, and provided everyone with their jobs and usually provided them food, housing, etc etc and no wage or a very low one.
During this time global poverty sank, and quality of life skyrocketed. The common man for the first time in history, could actually buy their own properties and their own homes. The rise of the common man ironically was what fueled the envy and disdain of free enterprise which came in the form of Communism.
The origins of Communism are from those impoverished nobles of the old world — they didn't hate Free Enterprise because it "exploited" the "labor" they hated Free Enterprise because it allowed the lice-ridden peasantry to surpass the established hierarchies.
The common man has came to far and owns way too much, which is why the Green New Deal is necessary to return the power back to the primitive elites.
These fools don't give a shit about saving the planet, it's all part of their masquerade. The more and more I hear about this stuff the more and more it reeks of Communism. They're hateful, and envious and they want to own everything we have, once again.
These people are absolutely pathetic and despotic, and people need to wake the hell up.
