  1. You've finally hit 90k. Congratulations Jenna.🎊 Happy Gardening 🌱 I grabbed some Bridger onions after watching your overwintering video a few months ago.

  2. I bought candyland tomato seeds on your recommendation! I seeded two plants and am looking forward to some winter growing!

  3. Elegance bean sounds nice, I'll be keeping an eye out for it.

One problem I've had with my kale this year is the stem going mushy, mainly at the growth tip, and then the leaves going limp and dying. I cut off the tip of the plants, and it seems like the lower part of the stem was in better condition and less mushy, and the plants did attempt to grow new stems from the base, which was enough to give a small fall harvest, but the plants were still rather unhealthy looking compared to the spring. I assume it was some sort of pest or disease. Are you familiar with anything like that?

  4. This video is definitely one I will want to come back and revisit. Those little tomatoes sound exactly like what I want! You are SO well spoken, it's a gift. You explain things very well yet in a lively and enjoyable way. You actually made me laugh a few times. I actually did sneak zucchini into people's vehicles when they were here visiting. 🀣
    Anyway, another great video.

  5. I could watch you talk about gardening all day and I don't even have one?πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

  6. Would you please move to Zone 8a in the PNW and continue creating great content? Seriously. I so enjoy your content and then get frustrated because NW Oregon is not the same as Ohio. Maybe Territorial Seeds would sponsor the move?

  7. Speaking of seed saving, had some ideas for some videos: your favorite heirloom and open pollinated varieties; your top varieties for flavor; a "top favorites of all time"; a "if I could only plant one variety of each type of veggie" and maybe any ancient, historic, or otherwise unique or overlooked varieties. Thank you for this review of your favorites from 2022, I can't wait to try some of these onions!

  8. My seed shopping list just got a little bigger. I’ve already picked up a few tomato varieties, as well as loofah and flower seeds from Circa Plants.

  9. Great stuff Jenna. I took a lot of notes. How did your shortcake raspberries do in pots last year? I never got a round to trying them last year but thinking about it this year.

  10. These videos are always so good. I always have a spectacular summer garden, but I still struggle with the timing and crop selection for spring and fall. But I’ll keep trying and eventually I’ll get it.

  11. Yay, I’ve been looking forward to these videos! I’m trying the T-448 overwintering onion right now. So far they’re looking good. Hoping you grew and will review Runner beans soon 🀞. (I think I remember you mentioning you were trialing a new heat-resistant variety. πŸ€”)

  12. Good Saturday morning Jenna. Everything looks delicious. Thanks for sharing a tour of your lovely garden. One of my favorite items are homegrown radishes. and cauliflower.

  13. Your onions look amazing. Could you do a video series on onions: seed starting, planting, monthly fertilizing, harvesting, and storing? And cooking/canning too.

My onions did not grow large.

  14. About the Safari and the other zucchini…
I had 5 kale and bugs got 4 of the type after I removed the 4 only then did the bugs get on the one. Your experience with your zucchini what happened to my kale. Perhaps you should put them others to draw the bugs away from the Safari once again.
Thanks adding Safari to my wish list

  15. There is an after taste in zucchini that is off putting to me much like having bad morning breath. I'm looking for a zucchini that doesn't have that off after flavor. One year when I was a bit more caviler about just grabbing seed with the title and growing it. I grew a yellow straight neck squash that tasted very buttery. Which is especially nice because I can't have butter. I wish I knew the variety name of that one because I've tried quite a few yellow squash over the years with no luck finding it. Thanks for the updates. I always purchase more seeds immediately after watching. lol I thought I was already done with my seed order for next season.

  16. Always like to hear your favs. Even though your soil isn’t sand and you are a couple zones warmer.
Was the onion that bolted a plant or bulb set? If plant, I thought they didn’t bolt and only 2nd season bulbs did.
My fav onion is Blush. I am taken back by the pride of onion plant bundles this yearβ€”I paid around $8/50-75 and this year they are $15 plus!!
I was hoping to grow most starts in winter sow jugs, but I think the onions, peppers and tomatoes will need more of a start before summer solstice sets in for bulbing long day onions in Z5a.
What do you think? I’m wondering what the best time is to grow inside because some start in January in our area. I believe the seed of any plant has a timing for best growth productionβ€”Right? I guess I will check seed pkt, it probably says 6-8 weeks before frost. Wish I had a cooler room to grow in because the starts can be monsters if too warm and not as rigid.
Actually I’m not going to be in such a rush to plant except cool weather veg (later potatoes) because I like to harvest winter storage veg closer to cool fall and not hot august.
I planted a ton of garlic from sampler and it will be the perfect place after harvest to plant fall broccoli. It turns out much shorter tighter heads and quicker growing. Now if I could figure out a way to do that with the huge Brussels sprouts, but they need more time.
Tenderette and yellow wax bean is best And no longer will grow blue lake as once they mature they get over ripe in a day, too beanie tasting with strings. The other two let me breath between picking and always edible and No Japanese beetles, but the poles were magnets.
Great to know about Safari, I’m allergic to most of these spines.
    Thank you!

  17. Hi Jenna! Would you mind telling me how to become a seed tester or get a job doing something similar? I'd love to get into it as a career, but not sure how to get started out where to look. Thank you

  18. My 2022 favorite grow was Tropical Sunset Tomatoes. Small round balls, saladette in size, but the flavor was BAM!
