Hot to Make Ground Pepper From Scotch Bonnets

In this video, I discuss the process I go through to make ground pepper from Scotch Bonnet peppers, which I harvest from Pepper Row. I start out by harvesting the peppers, then I clean them up, cut them in have and place them on a cookie sheet. Next I place them under my broiler for five minutes. Then, I place them in the dehydrator, and leave them there until they are dehydrated. This can take 2 to 4 hours. Lastly, I place them in my blender or coffee grinder and grind them up.

I believe anyone can plant, raise, and harvest food from small spaces. We’re seeing shortages of basic items, with food being among them. I hope this video inspires and makes others realize that growing food in a suburban setting can be done. The backyard grocery store never has empty shelves! Happy Gardening!
