Also, if you can acquire the tool….do not sign up or join any club pertaining to that tool, and if you can possibly get away with it, do not apply for anything that let's "them" know you have a tool, what kind of tool or how many of them. Fly under that radar. Because if suddenly they decide to confiscate…..your name will be on a list if you joined that club or got that permit.

I have lived in Mexico and Peru. Armed security is normal inside a store, pharmacy, car parking lot, etc. I promise you that most retail places have a zero percent shoplifting rate. Violence may occur outside in the street but not inside. In Peru there are neighborhood “serenazgos”- a benign neighborhood police force. Most stations exist near a neighborhood park. Again- the safety rate is reassuring. It has always stumped me that we do not consider safety as important an issue as our Latin neighbors. They take it very seriously. Their parks and stores are safe zones.
