    very interesting video again. thank you. old civilizations used the ash of lava to grow their food, without it they'd likely not survived. it's prolly reason why their civilization died when eruption didn't happen or wind didn't blow it to their lands.

    The info on the volcano was good and I even really liked the pimple example. But in a informative program about volcanoes, it should just talk about the scientific information and cut out human politics.

    After reading J Sai Deepak's 'India that is Bharat' , I am able to better understand how Western ideas, primarily the Christian OET have been engraved with the idea of Master-Slave relation between human and nature.

    This similar relationship has been demonstrated in the mitigation effort, where the primary aim is to 'control' the course of nature, as if humans are their master.

    After becoming a territory, Hawaii became a state in August 1959. Until the 1920s, we had a large farm plantation system, based on the mountain-valley-sea cultivation method.

    The first nonsensical thing i heard you say, probably a misunderstanding of nature or spirituality itself.

    Listen to reason and it will show you the correct path.
    Western ideas are stupid because the west is lead by people who want to ONLY control.
    Stopping lava with a wall is stupid because you do not know how much lava is coming out, thus how high the wall needs to be.
    However the bomb idea is just worse, the stopping of lava with a sudden bomb will create cracks since the lava wants out and can't go towards the explosion. This will create more possible openings, possibly right in the middle of a city.
    That is a stupid idea.

    Your idea of praying is even worse, praying alone helps you accept death, not understand nature which deals with both with life and death.

    BUT if you truly want to understand nature you need to be one with nature.
    When you do that, you will come to the conclusion that you need to help nature help you.

    The solution is not to stop lava but divert it to the sea and help it increase the size of the island.

    So dig a circular canal deep enough around the volcano and have a connected canal leading to the sea and yes add a wall bordering the canal just in case.

    Control of nature is only part of the equation but you need to let nature do it's thing, you should not stop it but help it help you.

    EDIT:
    That being said, this is assuming it is not a powerful eruption.
    If it is anything like Santorini, just evacuate the Islands and anything nearby.
    Time to consider emigrating to another country.
