Grow your woodworking business with “smalls”! Ready for the latest trends???
Often, smaller items are looked over by new builders looking to make a name for themselves because they are looking for “that one build” that they can sell for a ton of money. They aren’t considering the cost of the build and the time spent making it. Ultimately any business comes down to profit margins. I’ll give you a few examples of how selling items that anyone can afford can generate crazy sales with minimal cost of goods sold!
Sometimes we overthink things when the most profitable items we are looking past. Let’s change that.

  1. If I see one more "How to make money from woodworking" video invade my video searches I going to throw up. These are gross

  2. My husband and I are addicted to watching you. We are both 70 years old..he has several health issues including being an amputee. As soon as we found your channel….he is in his wood shop almost every now instead of sitting in his recliner watching television. He does the designing and I do the finishing. Stain, paint etc. Thank you for giving us old folks a new lease on life.

  3. Been following you for over a year and man. Its been a year. I had a flash in the pan moment and went pretty hard into messing with wood last winter and learned so much. But i slowed this passed summer, still had lots to learn. Fast foward to 4 weeks ago, my wife asked me to build her a simple manger for our church Christmas play. Easy enough, got a free pallet, tore it down and built one. Then my mom asked me to build her a Christmas tree she saw on pinterest. I did and my wife saw it and wanted one..and then everyone wanted one. I even have a local business that bought 3 and asked me to build 2 more! I am gonna build through the summer and sell next season..pallets are free at work and i can make the trees for the cost of 30 screws, material for a star and a lag bolt.
I wouldnt have had the confidence to do this without your encouraging videos. Thank you for being awesome and thank you for being you!! Keep the informative videos coming!

  4. Matt, Keep them coming. Love the project ideas. Not so much into the selling part, just the creating. Problem is what to do with the stuff I make…guess might need to start selling! Lately into laser works and more stuff to make. Anyway great attitude and again keep them coming.

  5. Man I've watched you for a while. Even bought plans and its really helped with sales at events. I know it will be even better once my online network grows. Great ideas. But the end of this video is where this shined. The talk towards the end. Man, that hit different. Thank you!

  6. I come from a music background and the wall art piece can actually be used as a sound diffuser in studios or home theaters. They even have websites that give you specific heights of blocks and layouts to most effectively diffuse sound waves.

  7. Man I think its great that your kids get in the shop and have the incentive to make things. We need more kids like that in this world! All my grandkids do is play their video games.

  8. great builds… I have built and sold about 200 chicken tables and well over 400 squirrel tables over the past five years they sell enjoy u channel

  9. Love all the ideas you give but most of all love your positive attitude and the inspiration you give to people Thank you for sharing .

  10. Great project ideas again. Thanks for sharing. Your timeless advices at the end of the video are priceless.

  11. My first project was a 6 ft corner shelf. Man was I a novice. I had a circular saw and a jigsaw. Both were given to me. I took two wooden crates and made a tablesaw and a (sorta) bandsaw. My family thought I was some kind of genius, the first ones didn't work out, but I kept trying until I had something that worked. Now after forty years I have bought most power tools needed, but I still make some tools. Necessity is the best teacher. You may learn a lot of ways that don't work, but you will learn. Don't be afraid to try. Luckily I only have scars and all my fingers!

  12. WOW-WEE! PEP TALK, STATE-OF-MIND, BUSINESS ADVICE & WOODWORKING ALL IN ONE CHANNEL!! I LOVE IT! And what's more impressive is that wall of "BRIDGE CITY" TOP-OF-THE-LINE HAND TOOLS IN THE BACKGROUND!! Like you, they make awesome stuff! Thanks for all your awesome content & how-to instructions – I always look forward to your next one! Keep up the good work and Happy Holidays!

  13. This is great – always providing awesome videos and ideas. I’ll give that wine rack and tray a try with some scraps. Will be awesome item for my local farmer markets

  14. Hello just wanted to let you know that at a recent Christmas Market here in Nottinghamshire in the UK one stall had the serving boards like you recently made, on sale for £65 about $80. Size wise only some 15" x 4", looked like the reuse of an old floor board. Same trends over here! Keep up your excellent videos, thoroughly enjoying them.

  15. Love to watch the videos had a full carrier in the Army but while in High school we had wood working class and i made 2 big projects and i am buying a house and the wife asked me about making end tables and such but i have a question is it posable for you to do a video on cutting out a round top so you get the circle perfect. Thank you in advance

  16. As you continue to grow (and you will) the temptation will be to change and jump the shark. Please don’t. What you’re doing is perfect! You are giving us hope and the flame or the means to fan an existing flame. I’ve followed all the folks over the years and they were relatable right until the point where they were $$$$$ enough that they didn’t relate to me anymore. I’d mention names but I don’t need to. Stay in this lane brother and keep helping us. We greatly appreciate you. Thank you for what you’re doing mate.
