Is This the Most Luxurious Hotel & Restaurant in the World? Speilsalen at Britannia in Trondheim

Step inside one of the world’s most luxurious hotels, Britannia Hotel in Trondheim, Norway. We’ll take you on a tour of one of the fanciest suites, show you their one-of-a-kind room service offerings, and showcase the full meal at the Michelin-starred restaurant Speilsalen, their flagship restaurant. The name translates to “The Hall of Mirrors,” which is fitting for such a grand fine dining restaurant. Bocuse d’Or silver medalist Christopher Davidsen is the head chef, and award-winning sommelier Henrik Dahl Jahnsen leads the wine program, so the bar is set high. The historic dining room is spectacular, and the presentations are some of the most stunning we’ve seen in a restaurant. The restaurant was awarded its first Michelin star less than a year after opening, and, in our opinion, it won’t be long before they earn the second.

  1. Buy your best fried chicken from local store, get inside the car.. go to beach or forest with quiet breeze..put some music… Then eat…. That's all and that's me (very cost effective)

  2. Yep , this is EXACTLY what I'm looking for in a fine dining experience, nailed it. Pure luxury and top class expensive ingredients cooked with the highest attention to detail. Won't even begin to discuss the price but no doubt it's a lottery win night out.

  3. Silly question for a food video, but does anyone know what recording of Tchaikovsky's Trepak was playing at the beginning? It's one of my favorite classical songs but I'd never heard that particular version before!

  4. As a chef with michelin star experience myself,I stunned that this place has just 1*. Definitely a 3 star experience right there 👏
Keep up the great work, you guys do a great job showcasing fine dining to the world ❤️

  5. What an experience! This place is definitely worth planning for a special occasion with someone special. With so much to see, the video could actually be even longer if you visited the other restaurants and bar in the hotel.

I knew I was in for a ride when a restaurant has so many selections of caviar to try. I’m sure a lot of the dishes must taste delicious with the service being top notch, but the place deserves at least 2 Michelin stars just from the food presentation alone.

  6. It is amazing how am in Africa right now but can come with you guys to these world class restaurants-through your videos, thanks a lot.

  7. You actually missed out on a restaurant inn the "cellar" of the hotel. Jonathan Grill is under the cocktail bar
