Amazing Water Clock in a 400 years Japanese Garden



The unusual water clock is from Senganen Garden (仙巌園), aka Isoteien (磯庭園), is a Japanese-style landscape garden located in Kagoshima, Kyushu. The beautiful garden is set against a spectacular backdrop of an active volcano island Sakurajima and Kagoshima Bay. Senganen’s landscaping includes small ponds, streams, shrines, and a bamboo grove. Built back in 1658 by the Shimazu Clan, a leading powerful feudal clan during the Edo Period (1603-1867) It was recognized as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 2015.
