  1. Good chilly morning! We are currently experiencing that cold you speak of 🥶 We are -16 with a windchill of -41 in Northwest Iowa as I type this and there are many colder that. I sure hope my gardens survive this as I have many new plants this year. The wind is too gusty to keep any covers on which is unfortunate. I hope you all stay warm during your cold snap and I'll be dreaming of spring until it gets here 😊

  2. We have been in an arctic low in Sask Canada the temps -40 for the last 4 days . Were tough here lol anyway have a great Christmas to everyone stay warm

  3. I need a frost blanket for myself Jenny lol 🤣 thank you for the information hun. Merry Christmas from my family to yours 🎁🎄⛄🎊

  4. I guess we’re all trying to think thru preparations for the deep freeze temperatures. We have a well and will need to cover all the piping. Merry Christmas y’all!

  5. Do you have a back up generator if the power goes out? They’re predicting blizzard conditions here later this afternoon thru Saturday in S. W. Michigan, 40 to 50 mile per hour wind and up to 2 feet of snow. It probably won’t be quite that bad but I just wanted to let you know what your Walters Garden friends are facing and maybe send a little prayer their way. Thankfully we have a wood stove that will keep us warm and I would imagine Walters has back up generators but if we get the wind they’re predicting I’m sure we will lose power. Have a Blessed Christmas Creekside family and May God send many Blessing your way this year and all of the years to come. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄❄️💚🙃

  6. Thanks Jenny. Wouldn't of had an oops 😬. I'm in zone 8 and I've known this arctic freeze was coming for the last week. I had even had to pull my parka out of the back of the closet lol. Last 5 years have been quite mild and hadn't even needed it.
However, with Christmas 🎄 around the corner, decorating, shopping, cooking, baking and my son just came home on leave, draining my hose hadn't even crossed my mind smh. SO, BIG THANK YOU!! and I set a reminder on my phone for later today (when not pouring rain) to take care of that lol. And these hoses were rather expensive. Besides, idk of there's really any inexpensive anything these days. Replacement costs can be detrimental for sure.

  7. It’s going to drop quickly here in GA. I think I’ll bring in some of my terra cotta pots just because of the chance of cracking. I have an abelias that was newly planted this year, wondering if I should cover it, maybe just with a bunch of leaf litter. How tough are they?
