Sneak Peek Into Mom's Backyard Garden Creative Use of Space Organic Vegetable Garden FullHappyBelly



Lots of Asian vegetables in my mom’s garden as she loves cooking and sharing them with her family and friends.

Here in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 we have a very short season where we can grow and harvest vegetables outdoors. Weather depending, that season is usually from April to October. Join me on my adventure in creating new garden beds and adding new vegetables in our existing gardens as we continue to expand. I am a novice gardener while my mom is a seasoned gardener who tends to her own garden and supports many other organic growers by providing them with seeds to sprout, plants transplanted from her own garden and giving tips on how to care and harvest the various vegetables. I could not imagine starting this journey without her support and guidance.

Here are the plants we normally grow in our gardens:

* Winter melon
* Bitter melon
* Boy choy
* A choy (Taiwanese lettuce)
* Green and coloured lettuce
* Beans
* Snow peas
* Orange day lily
* Saan choy aka Chinese spinach
* Green onion
*Daikon leaves
* Potatoe leaves
* Chives
* Parsley
* Tomatoes
* Peppers
* Squash
* Pumpkin
* Purple Perilla
* Purslane
* Chayote
* Cucumbers
* Cherry tomatoes
* Tong ho
* Shen Choy is also known as red amaranth
* Pennywort
These are just some of the vegetables we started our new garden with. We will continue to gradually add more as we expand our garden.

Organic gardening is so rewarding for both you and your family’s health. Your produce is also crunchy, sweet and fresh.
