  1. Hey Jim! If plants sustained damage in the recent cold and wind (specifically a gardenia) would you recommend cutting back the damaged areas or leaving it be for now? Thanks so much

  2. Just got my order sent off for spring planting. I don't want to miss the plants I want because of lack of seeds,

  3. Dang, you make quick work of these videos! 😛 When you said it was Dec 30th, I had to double check the date.

  4. Jim! Thank you for sharing throughout this time of year! The video value has been incredible for me, I appreciate the time and effort you've given

  5. I’m in Michigan and normally this time of year it’s a frozen tundra and will stay that way until at least March. But we are having some strangely mild weather (except that horribly cold snap the week of Christmas with sub zero temps and snow) it’s supposed to be around sixty next Tuesday which is completely unheard of in January. I’ve been able to be working outside doing clean up. First year in my life this has been possible. I’m loving it!

  6. Another great planning video! We covered newly created beds with wood chips in October. Should we plan to also mulch before doing any planting in the spring?

  7. Sleeping 😴 plants 🪴 😴. Happy new year. Tom and Ram wished for Jim and Stephany safety ,happiness and prosperous year.

  8. So fortunate to be gardening close to Jim &Steph, and able to easily benefit from these videos. Just an amazing resource, thank y'all! Happy New Year, HortTube gardening community!

  9. Jim – I loved the chart you displayed for planting times thru harvest – so helpful, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us and Happy New Year to you and Steph!

  10. I would love to plant my fall and winter sale purchases but I am stymied by the lack of soil conditioner for my clay soil.

  11. Thank you for your tips! Even though I'm in zone 5b, I can use them a little later in the season. Or, on a day like today where it gets to 59 degrees, use them earlier! 😃 Love seeing pretty Holly in your videos too. She's such a sweet girl.

  12. Thank you! Loved it! I'm 3wks out post-op from hysterectomy, and next on the agenda is surgery on my dominant hand for bone spurs, carpal tunnel, deQuervain's, and couple other things going on in there. I HOPE to get all healed up in time for spring gardening. Wondering if I should postpone the hand surgery in time to recuperate during summer when it is TOO HOT to do anything outside. Surely I can water plants one-handed, but no digging. W. TN, 7b, feels like 8 in summer.
