  1. Have a great day too!! Thanks for your videos, I love your place. What variety of maple is the one that comes out at 2:40?? A kind of dark leaf, such a beautiful color.
Bye my friend. A hug from a Japanese Maple fan.

  2. loved this vid! do you have any suggestions where I could source bonsai soil in western Washington? I'm currently looking for akadama pumice and lava rock, any help would be much appreciated!

  3. Are in-ground garden JMs more tolerable of direct sun/heat and less susceptible to scorch/crispiness than potted JMs?
That’s what I’ve heard; but I don’t really know for certain yet.
Mine are still in nursery pots until they get big enough to plant in ground.

  4. Nice video but if I have to read the text, I'm not looking at the imagery in the video. Also it doesn't really help folks who don't have an overhead structure to put the fabric up on. Still loved seeing all the Maples. Love you plot of land, a huge amount of work but it's beautiful

  5. I'm in San Francisco about 3 miles from the beach; we don't get really lots of hot sun but wind is a big problem. I put outdoors a 2 foot sapling that was just perfect in a shady spot protected by a tall hedge and the leaves just got wilted. The wind has been incessant these past few months; any ideas I can do?

  6. Very helpful! It is getting around 24 to 26 celcius over here (75 – 78 fahrenheit), and was looking to buy a shade cloth but didn't know the right % to buy. Thank you!

  7. Fab video and gorgeous array of trees.

I have a few acers, but having moved to the seaside, Folkestone and living in scorching sun, has made them unhappy… so "sun shade nets" look ideal. Ordering one now.

God bless you and your beautiful trees. ThanQ
