The DIY backyard skatepark is one of my favourite builds ever! I know loads of people are missing the Playground but it’s too wet to build and ride there right now so instead of dirt jumps this skatepark mega build has been the perfect project for the past month. Look at the insane progress we made with this new vert wall and quarter pipe section, it’s almost ready to ride! What do you think I should build in the final area?
Enjoy the 2 build lapses and planning!

For someone who's not a professional carpenter, this truly is amazing! I reckon it would be cool if u added a ramp outside the skate park that led into the spox. Just an idea though.
id get pool noodles and put them on the edges of the metal bits so then no one breaks their hand
Bowl in one of the corners. Pocket airs and stuff.
Wishing you all the best screws and rides for 2023
Great
Step up launch box with a tight banked wall ride on one side.
need some rugby post pads for them RSJs to save your hands lads.
Maybe in the empty section have a raised half on the vertical wall end into a drop off
Looks great and I hope when the wind gets up the curtain stays up. Can’t wait to see this ridden.
This place needs a gnarly curved wall ride in one of the corners
It would be epic to add a foam pit in one of the back corners!
wow matt just amazing
I thunk your flat bottoms are going to feel really short Matt and co. Consider for the inner half of the park to not put anything in the middle, and open up a wide flat bottom between quarters at each end.
build a "concreat corner"
you should go to Bentonville Arkansas
Build a timber wall upto 8ft on the front and then cladd the top with Box profile clear sheets, install perlings every 4ft so the wind can’t take them
Build a jump out of a berm into the quarter pipes on the side near the shop
Matt make a fomepit
Find some deck sealer or a very good water resistant paint. I’m thinking dry lock that’s used for sealing basements. It’s nasty stuff to apply tho
Cut the transitions with a skill saw, not jigsaw. Comes out smoother, and way faster.
Matt this content is unreal. Don't forget to name the park.
Steadily waiting for the shred
will the wood rot over time in the rain
Put a half bowl in one of the corners!!!
Spending as much as your are on wood you may as well just close it in proper and put lights up be cheaper then the rain wrecking everything I don’t think the curtain is gonna do much
You could use buffalo board
A day in the life when all of these builds are done would be so so mint, starting off at the compound then playground then finishing it off with pit bike track and skatepark… scenes. oh nd lmk if you want any street art done in there, cld make it look sweet.
To the right of the quarter pipe I think you should do a deck 4ft wide (out from the wall) so that you can either transfer straight to the quarter or land on the deck and do cool deck tricks
this is such a great idea
😎😎
!!YOU NEED A GAP!!
Cut a door in that back right corner and put a box jump in the back segment, one you could put some foam on top of in case you want to start doing tuck 7s or double flips.
matt make a ski jump to use the speed from the vert wall
I love this build! But please tell me you’re using a stop block on the chop saw when making multiple cuts for those ramp stringers? If not that’ll help with efficiency a lot. Also you could add weight to the curtain by rolling the bottom up a bit and sliding a pipe in and stabling above it, then close off one end and just add sand as needed to the pipe to increase the weight slowly, then close off both ends
Strong metal rails for the giant curtain to actually hold out the wind and rain efficiently
