Back to Home Depot We Go | Gardening with Creekside

Even though it is a rainy Saturday we are still making progress with the new production annex. We are heading back to Home Depot to buy some electrical supplies, but to also do a bit of research on what type of siding we want to install on the outside and interior walls plus the ceiling. Come shopping with us!

  1. Always buy a couple extra of everything! Nothing worse than being in the middle of a project and having a broken something, or needing another! And certainly at Creekside, there’s always something to be done or repaired.
The prices are insane for building products these days!
Hopefully you’ll be able to find your new staple gun and saw blades nearby. 👍

  2. 😆 yes I have a collection of extra supplies that have not been used ….yet. For me it's always better than making extra trips to the store! 😉

  3. I know this sounds crazy but by going to Home Depot aren’t you supporting your competition? Aren’t there independent Hardware stores over there?

  4. Oh Yes …. Home Depot …. Love that store … around the corner and down the street … I am there at least three times a week …. I take my little dog Louie … he rides in the cart and always brings a smile to all of the customers and those that work there they like to give him treats … !!!

  5. Pink duct tape😊 My daughter (fine carpentry) put pink duct Tape on all her tools. When she started working construction five years ago we bought her a leather tool belt and hubby dyed the suede pockets pink. So sweet.

  6. Don’t settle for only two light switches. Look up ‘four-way light switch’ and you can put in a switch at each doorway.

The basic layout would be Line power-three way-four way-four way-three way-light fixtures, and put in as many intermediate four-way switches as needed. 14/3 Romex is run between all switches.

  7. This was fun! I like the wood choices yall made. It's going to be very nice! Wow! The prices! Look at Jenny getting her some tools! Definitely, pink duct tape! Thanks for taking us along.

  8. Paint the annex ceiling light sky blue, like the porch ceilings on Mackinaw Island. So enjoy following a good construction project!

  9. It has taken me years to convince my husband to always buy the right tool for the job. “Work smarter, not harder.”

  10. Loving the Music 🎶 🎵 at Home depot! Surprised you didn't get a Copyright Strike. I heard the legendary Canadian Band, Bachman Turner Overdrive 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦 Happy New Year Creekside!

  11. About 8 years ago I was at the local Lowes and there was a tool set for women (all tools had pink on them) the tools were already in a carrying case (also has pink on it). I splurged and spent $60 and purchased the set, husband and son have used my tools several times, it is easier getting my tool bag out of the closet than walking to the garage.

  12. I have pickled white car siding on my ceiling in my kitchen and den in my house and I love it. It looks very nice. When my husband lived he built custom homes. I sure miss him. Enjoy your time together. ❤️
