  1. Goodluck with the cardboard Bren, never heard of that trick but it sounds ok. Maybe foil would be better being metallic and all that, but you'll have to be careful the sun reflections burning the plants. Hope you and your family had a great Christmas Bren, take care, stay safe and have a wonderful New Year mate. Seeya Rob

  2. The flower Bouquets look Beautiful as usual. Those poppy seeds,Wow! Happy 🎉 New Year.💐

  3. Happy New Year Bren, flowers look lovely as usual and interested to see how the cardboard goes. Take care and have a great weekend. Cheryle

  4. I loved this week’s blog Bren. Great energy. The cafe ole dahlia is gorgeous. Happy new year.

  5. I would go for a pale pastel pink colour for wrapping your flowers up with in!! Remember…Mother's Day isn't far away!!

  6. If recyclable and it heps with moisture retention in bouquets use it otherwise brown paper, I reckonxx liv

  7. Happy New Year Bren. Thats a nice Dahlia you've got there. Mine are just starting to flower as well. Cheers

  8. Hi Bren, Loved your seed saving segment, especially about the lovely poppy. I must get some for next spring up here in the Blue Mountains!

  9. Happy New Year, beautiful garden girl!😃 Bren, you are looking well…nice to see you are bouncing back well from the virus.
Snowflake is looking pretty! I guess her sister was enjoying another area of the garden.🐔
I noticed the cannas right away! Beautiful! I hope you can use them in your gorgeous bouquets. Love your arrangements this week and I don't think you need the tissue paper. Let the flowers be the show…they are amazing!💐
I hope your business takes off like a rocket in 2023! I wish you and those planted in the garden of your life an amazing year! Thanks for faithfully bringing me such lovely joy throughout 2022!😃💕

  10. I hope the cardboard works, I will watch with interest as I have had flowers eaten this year especially some Hippeastrum's. Your bouquets are beautiful, I think the brown paper looks great and lets the blooms shine

  11. Hi Bren I want to wish you and yours a happy new year ! Love snowflake in the beginning of the video, 💕😀🐓

  12. Happy New Year Bren!!
Your video is very informative with the seed collection. I LOVE that it's this easy with a lot of flowers.
Your cafe au lait has won my heart. I know it's very popular, but there is a reason why… it's just so beautiful.
My best wishes to you for 2023, and I look forward to seeing more of you in the coming year. ❤

  13. I’ve had leafeaters mole sting a lot of my leaves this year. I don’t know about cardboard, I do remember foil and grease being used on our oak trees one year during a gypsy moth caterpillar infestation. It worked because the caterpillars couldn’t cross the slippery grease on foil moat wrapped around the trunk. I don’t know that that would work on small plants. I haven’t figured out a solution besides picking them off and relocating them to Dinotopia. I’m looking forward to hearing how the cardboard works.

And those poppy seeds are amazing! How cool! I’m pulling out sunflower seeds this week, and I’m drying kale seeds to store right now. I have a stash of peas, and I’m hoping to collect onion seeds. Exciting, right?!?

  14. Beautiful flowers Bren 💐🌸. Wow that’s amazing about the poppy seed heads letting out the seeds like that.

Now you can keep all of them for bouquets.

Is it really necessary to remove all of the chaff from the seeds?
