What Do Knife Pros Actually Carry?

We had ourselves a great year in 2022, and we’ve got the knives to prove it. From collecting more fixed blades to finding a new multitool, and of course filling out with our bread and butter EDCs. David wanted to find a big folder, and Seth bought *MORE* Spydercos. We can only imagine what the new year will bring.

  1. pM2 edc. And an esee 4 for my garage knife. Tops delta unit 3 for when I'm at family camp sites! Love my Esee

  2. For the next FAQ I really wanna learn more about high end free hand sharpening stones, especially DMT vs Shapton Glass. How do the finished edges differ in performance? Which cuts faster? Which takes a better keen edge? So many questions!!!

  3. I've been on a bit of a spree on small knives myself. Started with going back and getting another dragonfly or two to replace ones I'd given away as gifts. Started picking up Baby Banters and I haven't stopped yet… and eyeing that new Wharncliffe Lil native that still hasn't released yet.

  4. 36:00 I have a black handle Moki MK-921 (made in Japan) from 1994. It has comfortable black rubber inlays and a metallic thumb stud. I think it's a europe version? The grip feels so great. I love this thing.

  5. I have 3 "rotational" carry knives and 1 constant. The constant is a swiss multi tool I keep on my belt. Literally used every single day. The pocket knife I carry most is my Microtech Combat Troodon DE. If it's not that one, then either my ZT 0452CF or my Spyderco Hungarian. All of them great knives and I highly recommend any one of them

  6. I absolutely LOVE my Benchmade 525 Mini-Presidio og version. It was actually my first Benchmade, and my first premium knife period. I've been hooked ever since!

  7. Is there such a thing as a 'kurouchi' finish in a folding knife?
I had a dream and this knife was in my hand in a comfortable position. I MUST HAVE IT!

  8. My favorite purchases of 2022. The civivi baby banter, Benchmade redoubt, and Becker bk16 with a custom kydex scout sheath. Thanks knife center. Great channel, great website, and great customer service.

  9. Happy new year knifecenter!!! Lmao I was trying to hear the song at the end!

  10. I have carried everything from Spyderco, to Benchmade, to Strider, to ZT. It wasn’t until a friend showed me his Cold Steel Voyager XL that I found the knife that I had been looking for all my life. It’s larger than average, but I have large hands and it feel like it belongs on my hand. I have one that I’ve been EDC for 3 years. I purchased two more to keep on the shelf in case I loose my EDC.

  11. Just an observation: A knife should always be handed to one another by offering the handle (hilt) (As Seth does nearly all the time) 😀 . Other than that, great info!

  12. Great video guys!! Everybody has a drawer thats filled with odds and ends. DCA, Love to take a tour of your "crap drawer". Make a great video.

  13. Seth get a sp10 marine raider just because everyone should and they are cheap, I’d love to see you have one on the table next year. Also I am also a spyderco guy, I’ll try the stretch two, my normal edc is a manix lightweight, a roadie, and sometimes a para 3 lightweight. Thanks both of you for sharing I appreciate it.

  14. Not a single one of these knives looked even slightly used, not even to cut boxes. 🤨

  15. Good evening,

I'm based in the UK and was wondering could you give me some advice please. I would like to purchase a pocketkinfe for EDC. I would mainly use the knife for opening parcels, packaging and day to day chores. Unfortunately due to a form of motor neurone disease I have very limited dexterity and strength in both my hands. Because of this I would like a knife which is easy to open / access the blade and close it when done. Having looked at a lot of knives online I'm thinking that a knife with a thumb hole may suit as it would help when opening up the knife. However as I know very little about the different mechanisms I was hoping you could provide me with some help in that area also.

I appreciate you taking the time to read my message and look forward to hearing from you hopefully with a few recommendations.

  16. What i have always liked about the oldachool persidio is the audible mechanical tones you get from actuating it. Super addictive clicky tones makes more fun for figiting.

  17. The bread knife was a huge flex DCA. You both have such amazing collections. Maybe we could get a full collection video.

Victornox Ranger is a great multi for the woods.

  18. A pro, huh? What kind of class do I need to take for that?? 😂
My pops gave me first knife at the age of 10, and I have never stopped.
    Do I qualify?

  19. Yes, do travel friendly multitools video, please. Thanks for all the great content and insights.

  20. I was today years old when I realized you guys are in my hometown. What a small world. I thought it was crazy how fast stuff arrived after orders ship. Man, I feel dumb. That said, you guys get it out the door fast. Love the content on this channel. Keep up the good work, gents.

  21. i love the presidio 2, i have bought 3 of them and had a free one from benchmade. they are absolutely great knives, i beat the crap out of them and they always held up. ive even split wood with them and they didnt have any problems. definitely one of if not my favorite pocket knife, ive been really wanting to get a new one.

i really hope they make some sprint runs with 3V or M4 steel, i would buy them instantly. i would love to have a 3V presidio 2, its my favorite steel

  22. I was in VA this week and really wanted to visit the shop but ran out of time 🙁
    Catch y’all next time

  23. I know they make good knives hell great knives but I just do not like spiderco. It's all a looks thing but I can't get buy it. That fat hump in the blade just looks like sheit to me. I also tend to prefer thin blades so maybe that's it. It sucks because I'd really like to try there knives.
But I guess it's like Corvettes. People love um I think they look like crap. Guess I just have sheit taste

  24. Presidio getting much needed love, so underrated compared to other BM models
