Well, it still means an egg sandwich is about $1.00 per sandwich, w/ one egg
Just bought a bread making machine at goodwill the other day for $5.99 – if this isn't a prepper hack, idk what is! I plugged it in at the store to make sure it turned on, then Googled the instruction manual when I got home. I can now make my own bread – you literally just put the ingredients in the machine & wait — for just under $2 a loaf. No added sugar or any other garbage either. Keep an eye out at your thrift stores – it took me about 2 months of looking and I finally snagged one. New bread makers are all almost $100 online.
Personally, I think there is more to it then "bird flu". Why are chicken hindquarters on sale this weekend for 4.90 for a 10lb bag? This is a frequent run sale. Chicken breasts are 1.67lb.
Nope, I think there is something else. Why is baby formula STILL in short supply after all of these months? And WHY is OTC Tylenol and cold medicine non existent? Oh I know they want to say it's because of the triple whammy of viruses this winter. But did we see a shortage of Tylenol in 2020 when "everyone" was getting sick with Covid? No.
maybe the eggs are being diverted to something else.
killing 40 million laying hens is a drop in the bucket when there are 400 million of them.
I know where the eggs are going… can't tell you on social media… but it does not take a rocket
scientist or geneticist "cough cough" to figure it out.
Not everyone has a freeze dryer, freeze. Dried eggs are a ridiculous price, and some people choose to dehydrate their eggs. I highly recommend people check out how to dehydrate eggs, some say yes some say no, I definitely say yes. Just make sure you sift the powder really well and reblend, so your eggs are not gritty. To preserve them for the long-term, put them in a mylar bag with an oxygen absorber, just make sure those powdered dehydrated eggs are very dehydrated before storing.
Our local Costco has been out of eggs the last two times I have been there as well.
Didnt Stalin do the same thing to his population ???????
More like 125 %
I freeze dry my eggs
All these doomsday predictions…..and we are all still here. Always the same results.
I like the Buckeyes. I've narrowed down my choices of egg layers to Good to Excellent Layers, Rose Combs, Non-Setters, Good Temperament, Non-Flighty, Hardy, free-range, and Long-Lived. A mix of heavy and lighter breeds for where we live, which is the Ozarks. We make sure to have plenty of chickens, so they can pile up on the roost in the winter and keep each other warm. It gets plenty cold in the winter, and the summers can be awful.
I bought 3 doz eggs from Walmart for $4.43 last Thirsday. Haven't checked on the price this week. But I learned yesterday in Ft Myers, FL Walmart's orders for Jan 1st haven't arrived for across the store items. Some stores may have over stocked and are till offering reasonable prices until supplies run out on their cheaper orders.
We tried to tell people in 2020 what happened with Newcastle in CA, but media wouldn't touch it.
I want my own chickens. That solves the problem.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this was part of the bioweapons gov has cooked up in the lab like with the current cough-19
I pay $20 for 50# of feed. My birds moulted and haven't been laying since Fall. It's definitely not cheaper to raise egg layers where I live. Especially when I have to buy feed AND eggs.
Love my chickens..great video thanks!!
Twice in 1.5 months, Aldis had eggs for $4.29 a dozen. We hit Kroger, and they were $3.49 per dozen. I picked up 4 dozen, just because of the savings. The price still sucks, but I'm grateful I got eggs.
Who paid the tractor supply corporation to sell chicken feed that killed the chicken market?
As an avid prepper and someone who has chosen to eat whole foods, plant-based, organic, non GMO, I have so far managed to curb my urge to have backyard, chickens or ducks as pets, because I worry about predators and diseases, as well as taking on even more animals to care for. I am now focusing on freeze dried foods, and purchasing even more seeds now that I have everything necessary to make my own DIY hydroponic set up. Grow- lights were on sale recently, so I bought three of the strip type. Should be sufficient for sixteen 5 gal buckets, which can now be used in my garage or outside. One thing always seems to lead to the next, so now I am looking for a used greenhouse of some kind. Prepping is never ending! But, instead of having to keep buying liquid fertilizer, I will be able to use 'bunny blueberries' produced 24/7 by my hard working rescued rabbits. They live in large pens in the garage to keep them safe from two legged predators as well as the elements. They get fresh salad daily, so are likely pretty happy with their lot. They are definately loved dearly, and will never be eaten.
I don't trust anything they say
Oh my, suddenly I flashed back to an old saying from my younger years, "what does that have to do with the price of eggs in c.h.i.n.a.?"
Whatever happened with the bee situation ,Did the bees ever return are the question answered what happened to the bees ?
The eggs I was purchasing before getting my chickens are now $21.89
Rub a coat of vegetable oil entirely over eggs..store in cool dark place…will keep for 10 months.
Stupid people rule!
Oddly enough I told hubs to order powdered eggs. He accidentally ordered 60 pounds. Seems like it's a good thing now.
So far the egg shortage has been an inconvenience. We live within blocks (and walking distance at that) from 4 Grocery stores. Two more are a short drive away. If we find that one store is sold out of eggs, we just try another store.
My sister, on the other side of the country is seeing the same thing. But things got desperate during the holidays. Fortunately she has a cousin who raises chickens. She was able to get a consignment of eggs from them to finish her holiday baking.
Florida$8.99.dozen $11.99 Brien organic dozen. It's not bird flu, absurd. Lots of antivirals. It's about profit. Grains prices high from weather, fires
Horrifying chicken farms.
W.h.o. vrrifys NEEM tumeric kills viruses with spikes, viruses bacterias neutralization by Bai hua she she cao bulk tea, see. Chinese medicine herb radix istalis blocks viruses from cells, strong tea or into foods
This feels like bs. Seems like we’ve only been told theres bird flu, but we see little actual proof. For example, i havent seen dead birds and theres no talk of it at my feed store.
Weasel got the last of my chickens this week. They tried pulling chicken head first through my 4×2 steel wire cage. Sad way to die.
I doubt we even have a bird flu I think what we have is an evil government that wants to starve us out.
Earth magnetic fields are migrating once again that poler shift suns micro nova is about to take place as it does every 12000. Power grids will continue to fail but they will blame it on something else because they don't want everyone to panic for we all can't make it on the ones in the know or got lucky with survive (it's like a perfect storm…Things about to change maybe. hopefully if enough of us come together and do it better so we have to all this E I'm l

It's called: setting up.
Everyone should go back to having backyard chickens. If you are able to have dogs in your neighborhood then you can have a handful of hens. You don’t need a rooster for eggs. And hens are great for your garden.
