Today’s #nationalcameraday so we had to share the amazing photography of our art director @jmtguy. He’s the guy behind the camera, and boy does he have some amazing shots! 👍📸 Repost from @jmtguy – Cathedral Peak

Out of all the 211 miles and countless offshoots I’ve taken on the JMT, one spot still remains as my favorite—Cathedral Peak as seen from Upper Cathedral Lake. It’s a reminder of what the wilderness can be. A place where you are alone in the physical realm, but more alive and closer to God than you could ever imagine. I drove up and waited all day and through three thunderstorms for this shot. It was given a two page spread in the March 2013 edition of Backpacker magazine (@backpackermag) and was a contender in the 2014 American Landscape competition. It’s still one of my favorites, and was taken for my son, Sam.
