Is anyone else a fan of citrus? ๐ What types do you grow?
Hi Holly, wow Iโm so inspired. I have a tiny unit and have lots of pots and one bed. I have had trouble with caterpillars little black and green ones. Would you know of any natural spray or deter ants for these? I lost my carrots they just disappeared and the caterpillars ate all the leaves off my beetroot. Iโm loving my garden, it keeps me active as Iโm a disability pensioner, and itโs good for my mental health, keeps me moving and out in nature, and of course helps in the pocket with my food bill. Im in Baldivis Perth, and love that your also in Perth so I follow what you plant. I want to invest in some fruit tree next, I will keep them in big pots. Would you know if the top leaves are eaten, will they 1 regrow and 2 do they keep growing under the ground. Or have I lost them?
Thanks so much Holly and Iโm looking forwards to your next video. ๐ธ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐๐ชด๐พ๐๐๐๐๐ป
Those lemons looked soo big and juicy! I've just planted my baby Meyer lemon tree and am excited to get some lemons also! xx
Termites are pretty chronic in Bunbury too. They've been systematically eating the poles of the greenhouse Dad put up about five years ago. I found out last year that burying your citrus peels around the base wooden stuff deters them cos they don't like the citric acid & last summer was the first time in a few years I didn't have termites in the greenhouse! :O)
Wow those citrus trees look amazing Holly! Yum, I totally need to plant another citrus tree, I definitely want an orange tree. Love the dungarees btw, those ๐ ones you have are awesome ๐
You have such a lovely gardening space ๐and your citrus is doing great too! Have you considered planting a few berries? I think a few berry bushes would be amazing ๐
I am in perth as well – I am impressed that you got those citrus to grow with that grass – I can see what that is and I know that it can stunt growth. Did you line your beds? My concern would be that bloody grass lol
Also constantly sniffing in the garden!๐ Love your enthusiasm and your content! Maybe you could show us some recipes from your garden produce?!
As a kiwi i miss the little yams, can you direct me please to where i could purchase the seeds etc
๐๐
Your smile brightens my day! Keep up the great videos, greetings from VIC ๐
I love all of the bird sounds in the background! Jealous you can grow citrus, I can't where I am but maybe if I put them in a huge greenhouse…
I wondered where you were located… you started speaking and I said New Zealand… then you said Perth and WEE HOO someone to learn off from my neck of the woods. Ive only ever been watching gardeners from the UK or America. Glad to have found you Holly!!
I love the citruses. If only we can grow them here in our cold Canadian climate ๐
Great job! Iโm in Perth too! Iโm getting into growing more of my own food. I like the birdies raised garden beds when I can find them on sale!
