I needed to make a dinner for some special people tonight. I went to Publix instead of Aldi's to get some tried and true name brand products. I was horrified at the prices! Thank God for the garden! After adjusting the menu a little, I was able to serve a fine dinner and save a LOT of $. As you say, this has been a challenging year with a freeze, a hurricane, and now a draught, but the staggering prices are a great encouragement to continue the gardening struggle.
