  1. Everything related to art in genshin is an absolute masterpiece except for the story, that shit sucks.

Somehow mihoyo managed to create story telling masterpieces after story telling masterpieces, but when genshin arrived, they just built a new writting team completely made out of idiots

  2. its funny when they say that genshin is for kids, when there are many parts of the story where the story is dark.

  3. After learning more about it here and there I really want to play this game … but I also really don't want Chinese spyware on my PC

  4. The only part of genshin that has honestly ever held it back, is how greedy/harsh its gacha system is. Improve that, god tier game

  5. Genshin really is close to a masterpiece. For a 6 or 15 dollar sub essentially you get a near perfect game to explore for dozens of hours. New discoveries, details of the characters you like in fact some of which you may be able to play as with the naturally earned primo gems. The 4* and 5* characters are all pretty much good enough. The art, and music are beautiful. The combat is detailed with both complex and simple options. The problems arise once you finish all the content and are waiting for new content since there isn't something to do every day and the game, being a gacha, wants you to log in every day. If it was final fantasy where you just wait till the new patch play that then leave it would probably be fine. Honestly though you can still do that if you want as long as your fine with missing the daily quests.

  6. When I started playing Genshin, about 3 months after release, after being convinced by my friend to try it out, I named my character Link, as I was convinced it was a BOTW come. I couldn't have been more wrong, (but I'm never changing the name).

  7. This video is great, but they haven't shown accurate video demonstrations for things spoken, like for example when talking about Liyue, they showed Inazuma, and while talking about wind characters, they showed fire based chars. But yeah this video sums up a lot of what Genshin's art is, and why it's so beautiful.
HOWEVER, Genshin's music and soundtrack ALSO adds to this experience and amplifies it.

The only thing I hate is the aggressive monetization and lack of good rewards for the F2P playerbase, but that's the case with most game now so… Yeah…

  8. The game really is beautiful. Truly got crazy when they started to particularize the architecture in new areas so everything truly felt brand new. I just burned through the game and it quickly becomes reduced to weekly’s/dailies just like in wow bro it drove me right out😂. Never have enough resources for character and weapon summons so you are forced into paying for any toys you really desire because the RNG is not true RNG in this game. It’s weighted. So you’ll summon around 70 times AND THEN you’ll have a good chance of getting something. Just my laymen’s take

  9. Every hates gacha games? Oh yeah? So you never played any card games like Pokémon, Magic the Gathering, or Yu Gi OH? What the hell do you mean "making gacah popular" TCGs from the 90s are the original gacha loot boxes and in fact you CANT free to play them. You can't go to your game store and ask for a few free booster packs to start playing the game… Get over it

  10. As Someone who is a massive Zelda Fan, I cannot forgive them for basically ripping off the game. As it went they changed a lot of things, but when it first came out it was so very close to being a rip off it was scary…I do love the visuals now and I am less hard on it but it is still hard to actually pick up and play a gatcha game.

  11. Wish i did not play on phone so can explore without destroying my battery

  12. no, it was never a BOTW knock-off, the narrator just explained it lol. It was heavily inspired by it for the exploration part but the lore and combat style (which make up 2/3 of the game) are very different to BOTW, simply not comparable.

  13. Gee thanks, this makes me want to play again.

I always keep this installed, because sometimes I'm just in the mood and this is a great game.

  14. I am asking for change server option with progress for almost 2 years and they didn't even added server option for new accounts on Playstation

  15. All of that world building and combat implementation; yet now they made it a card game 🤡

  16. I really hope that you will play Gernshin sooner or later.

It's one game that can fit everyone's life style, because it's a singler player onging game. If you like it, you can play whenever (and anywhere) you want and it does not impede you from doing anything else.

You can play whatever game you like at the same time.

And Genshin in my mind, is a master piece.

  17. This is the FIRST game I've been constantly paying monthly and playing everyday, tremendous respect to the musicians got involved in this game.

  18. It's not true about the younger audience.
According to surveys, the average age is 25 to 35yo players.

  19. its a very well crafted game but it's lacking in challenging endgame content. They don't listen to the community.

  20. 'I'mma do it like I did Final Fantasy'
What, stop just before the best bit? 😉
(I'm only playing, play what you want my guy)

  21. Genshin has almost all the things that you could want in a game imo..from its gorgeous environment, gameplay, lore and storyline down to the music. It also has features that allows diff types of players to enjoy "their thing".

It's a nice break from playing competitive games, where you can drop in and grind for a short while (while your resin lasts), then do other things before dropping out, then repeat.

  22. i went to stormterror lair and if you climb to the top/pointy peak thing, if you look around it looks so much like hyrule castle in botw. honestly mondstadt is definitely heavily inspired imo but the othe rregions are too unique that its hard to say. i might be wrong but thats what ive seen after spending close to 300 hours of botw and ar 55
