I wish I could remember the brand of coffee creamer, but another warning to read ingredients. The label said, "No sugar," and the first ingredient is corn syrup. WHAT???
How sad is thus? Can't trust anyone anymore.
Thanks for the heads up 👍👍
Just leaving a comment thank u
The only thing I can think of (for a benefit of the doubt on the label) was that maybe the price/lable printer had the wrong date still in it's system, and they realized it after they packaged it, so they had to fix it. That all goes out the window if the item was spoiled though. And yeah, I will never buy any premade salad again after an experience of slimy veggies and wilted black lettuce.
Trust no one, question everything, and do your research
I'll be double checking for sure. That's not safe!! Hope no one gets ill from that store. Appreciate u Autumn ❤
All it takes is one bad employee to make a company look bad. Why would someone do this, because they ate a salad and kept one that should have been thrown out.
Good to see you! I haven’t seen much of you lately. Happy new year
I've been having milk go bad sooner than the expiration date. Last night I put some chocolate ice cream in a glass for a milkshake. Got the milk out of the fridge and poured some in the ice cream…it was bad!! I wasted the whole glass of ice cream because the milk was bad. I wasn't very happy! Had to pour it down the drain. I've had four or five gallons of milk go bad early by days. I never buy salads or sushi from a store! I don't trust it.
One thing I can say for sure is the label underneath says chicken ceaser salad. However the label she is supposedly removing (even though her thumb is covering some of the letters) reads differently. I do have a 55 inch TV screen for my desk top and I did expand the video to full screen. I can see the letters MER SALAD. The letter M or the combination MER appears no where in chicken ceaser salad.
Laziness…..
The salad is too expensive here (especially Key Food) so if it's not selling they are just placing a new price tag with a new date.
We only buy our salad at ShopRite and we go around 10am ,when they are getting the salad, breakfast sandwiches hot,and baked chicken from the back.
They did it because they dont care
That would be fraud.
I remember a few years ago a store chain named food loin was caught soaking rancid chicken in bleach to mask the smell.
Thanks for the heads up! However, we don't know if this is a true story. How did she just happen to "know" to lift the label? She could have just as easily, placed the label from another fresher salad over the old salad herself. Also, if the chicken smelled funny, why would you eat it? Most people would take the salad back to the store for a refund!
I worked for a few years in an upscale food market. They always told us to replace bakery goods in another container once the expired date arrived. We would do this three times before throwing out the item.
In the case of the video I think they got caught- someone probably just didn’t replace the container when they might normally have done that- so they got caught. So many places do this but because they are sneaky they don’t get caught. Be cautious- regardless of the date.
Maybe they were using a best by date gun they labeled the salad and they realized it was the wrong date so they put a new label on just one explanation
Stop & shop … 1/2 priced veg … " Blemished Produce – reduced price – to reflect reduce in perfect appearance "
back corner of the veg section – near the door leading to the backroom … Meant for "eating now" – rather than "store to eat later"
Changing dates are bad. I used to work at a bakery. When I was off this one girl was lazy and she would put old bread out with new labels over them. When I discovered this I was upset and told management. Blessings for you and your family ❤️✝️
1.04 lbs … for $7.99 !?
You don't get upset about cesear salad being $7.99 per pound
but yo do get upset at a ( a dozen of eggs ) that costs $7.99 per pound ?
who in their right mind – just throws ( $8 ) in the trash ?? … go back & return it to get your money back !
( wow – what is wrong with you for buying it in the first place – if it is rotten ? )
Seems like this is more about the person – rather than the salad . … 1) she chose to buy a rotten product … 2) she chose to throw it away ( after ) getting home – instead of getting your money back for it … why is it the FAULT of the store – if SHE chose to 1) buy it rotten & 2) she chose to NOT notify the store of a potential health hazard.
seems to be more about the PERSON – than a salad.
I know of stores in Minnesota that do that if it still looks good it can sell the owner would say anything to make a dollar
Autumn i see so many expired labels and the stores just say whatever
It is absolutely shady. Take it with a receipt to the health department make sure it's on record that way if nothing is done and someone does get sick you have proof of reporting it then sue the pants off both the store and health department.
I call it being sketchy!!
I would have taken it back! It's too expensive to just throw away
I check everything before I buy
She really threw a million dollar lawsuit in the trash……
Eeuuwah!
