Terrific show & the lady with that Walter Johnson signed baseball is very lucky to have it! ⚾⚾👍👍
I still prefer the UK version. The reactions and interactions are far more wholesome and less cliche and cheesy. Just my opinion, of course.
Who wants to bet the religious artifact in the box was stolen from its place of worship? Id bet that ungrateful greedy twat’s life.
Big Dick's ball (who knew?)
Oh Antiques roadshow you're the best for posting full eps
47:09 " The Legend Of BIG Dick" HAHAHAHA
Thank you so much for posting full eps. It is so appreciated Antiques Roadshow!
How, in God's name, was this segment filmed with a straight face from da boat of 'em? Seriously? Multiple takes? Sheesh! I woulda been laughing my arse off!
1902??? that's crazy!
Any episode with Arlie is a great one!
🥱g tees. Give me a break.
It would be Bye Bye Baseball for me. $100,000?
Those t-shirts were so gay. 🙂
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 LMAO it’s at 47:15 seconds #Hilarious #Comedy #Humor #AniqueRoadShow
This show is a psyop. Cern diva idol by.
It's a bit confusing that the episode thumbnail says "Hour 1" while the caption says "Hour 3". A correction to the thumbnail would be good.
shoutout Big Dick ⚾
At 44:56 the appraiser says of the Granville Redmond landscape "It's in various shades of green.", mentions some condition issues, and then says at 45:05 "…and it might benefit from a little cleaning,". If he is calling that brown, black, and tan painting "shades of green" then there is either a problem with the Antiques Roadshow cameras or he is vastly understating the need to clean the piece. I cannot see a single shade of green anywhere on that canvas unless you consider brown as a shade of green because some green was mixed in to make the brown.
So is the Tiffany lamp actually stolen from the original owner? "Found it in the basement and took it home"
I never knew the big guy with the loud suits was a Homo sapien
Big Dick the toy seller really hooked that lady up with a cool baseball
😊
I imagine being that person who sold the 17th Century Buddha, watching this episode, and kicking myself for about a week after that. It's mind-blowing that you could be that lucky to find this in somebody's front yard for $40. That stuff never happens to me.
Anyone who has ever divided up an estate of a family member can relate to the line: "Why did she get the doll?" I suspect this show has caused some rifts in families throughout the years. I took home a bunch of books from my mother's estate that turned out to be first editions of famous 20th Century authors–some of them signed. My advice is to make sure your siblings sign off on your acquisitions or you could have some major fights later on. That did not happen in my case, although I was very careful about it, which is my point. I was also the executor, which is a job to be taken very seriously. People can get weird where money is concerned. Don't assume anything about how people will react to this kind of revelation. Take care of it ahead of time. "Remember? Nobody else wanted the doll, so I took it." Better yet to get it in writing.
What do people in Europe use to sell their old stuff if they don't have yard sales?
When I was a kid, Disneyland sold those cells for $2 each. Of course we didn't buy any. Woulda' coulda', shoulda'.
The guitar case guy in the background ~48:00 mark 😂
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ARS
But I must get something off my chest.
I haven't shared this with my partner cause I haven't the heart to let him what happened one Sunday afternoon. A few years back I had acquired a painting from a friend, several actually 6 in all. So one day we decided to have a yard sale and he encouraged me to sell one of paintings I had acquired I didn't want to but he talked me into it and I also needed money for something else that was going on. Anyways long story short I sold that painting for 500.00 on a Sunday watched ARS the following day (Monday) and saw the same painting I just sold with the value of that painting going for 20K
I was so devastated, but I'm over it now…kind of. But I love this show so much I'm working on becoming a certified Appraiser.
Great to see more anime cels on the show, but Angelina Jolie's movie definitely had nothing to do with the value of that Maleficent cel…
Beautiful items all round. On the last item, the signed baseball….The premium you would have to pay on a $150,000 insurance item would be HUGE! You have to believe that that is why a lot of these items are sold of soon after as the cost to ensure them for the average person is just too costly.
Friend of mine worked in the gardens for 20 years. Beautiful place 🥰
Just a note regarding the Levi jump suit. 'Denim' is a name given to the material because it was originally produced in 'De Nimes' France, just as corduroy was first produced in France. 'Corduroy' literally means "the cloth of kings'.
