When government shuts down only essential employees keep working and they work with out a paycheck. They are prohibited from getting another job. When gvt is back open both working employees and non working employees get their back pay.

Two thoughts regarding a government shut down
1) with so little of anything that’s worthy coming out of Washington, we’ll know the shut down happens when way less BS comes out of there.
2) if the government shuts down, does that mean no more of all our hard earned moneys no longer get sent overseas to Zelenskyy’s cartel?
No more money to “the big guy” too? No budget should mean no paychecks to congress, senate etc!

I think Putin was playing chess.. I think he may have wanted the US to funnel money and weapons into this war to leave the US even more vulnerable. Wouldn't that be insane if behind the scenes Russia and China were working together to overthrow the US. Crazy times.
