  1. Thank you for pointing out the warning stickers. I have never noticed. Very helpful.

  2. Hello. Robbie.👩‍🌾 Another nice walkabout in the 99 cent store this time around. there was lots of interesting stuff there. Will you be making a bird bath with one of the wire metal planter also?? Thanks for showing how to divide the tomato plants up. I just Love all the links you leave, and i can go back and look at whatever it is you did, and i want to do the same idea . How long does kitties broccoli take to grow? I have all my seeds ready and waiting to be planted. We have a closing out garden store i want to check out tomorrow, actually there relocating . hopefully i find something there and the prices are dirt cheap.

  3. Went and checked my .99 cent store and I liked the red scoop. But no luck on the 4 feet stakes!

  4. You can paint your tool handles pink. Or I use brightly colored tape and wrap the handles, especially since rubber handles fall apart in my high desert climate. So I wrap them with bright paper tape, like that blue painter's tape. Those last for quite awhile. Duct tape falls apart in under a season here, so I like the paper tape best. Electrical tape does not fall apart, but the glue seems to just fall off after a few months, though it can last fairly well when it is taped to itself.

  5. Howdy Robbie and Kitty!😃
Enjoyed the tour of what they have at the 99 Cents store.
I've been planning to put out a feeder…I have all I need to make one. My birds and I thank you for the idea!🐦

  6. Tomatoes don't like a lot of water? When I grew my first one, it was a cherry tomato plant and it grew MASSIVE, it needed water nearly every day, even with some wood mulch on top of the soil, and it wasn't even in direct sunlight for most of the day! I live in Georgia and this was summer, so it was easily reaching 90+ degrees, but it was getting morning and early afternoon sun, with late afternoon shade, so it was shaded during the hottest hours, and yet it still drooped like a drama queen if I didn't give it anything for one day

  7. You are so smart ! I am always amazed at your ideas ! I have had one of those planters.I never would have thought to make a bird feeder out of it ! You are just amazing! I love it!…… Heather

  8. Cheap made in china plastic I will pass. I cannot feed birds from a feeder, we have too many annoying squirrels here, they dig my bulbs out and either destroy them or replant them😂 They drag corn from ??? We have corn growing in all impossible places! They hide peanuts from across the street (they feed them) every place, where ever I dig in my garden to plant there are half decayed peanuts, including flowerpots.

  9. Hi, from south Texas. We have no 99¢ store within 100 miles. Thank you for letting us 'shop' along with you. The coir lined metal baskets are indeed handy. The only issue I have had outdoors is the thin metal clip attached to the chain and basket rim. They rust before any other part.

  10. I really appreciate your videos as I'm also in Southern CA. I haven't seen tomato plants yet at 99 but I've always had really good luck with them. It's early yet, so I'll keep my eyes open. In my opinion their planters aren't as good as they used to be. I've had some they used to carry that look like clay, made in Israel, out in full sun for years and they're still in great shape Some of their pricing doesn't make sense! 'they charge a little more from some things than Dollar Tree, yet there are nice garden flags, on the holder for less than buying both pieces at DT. Yesterday I scored again at Lowe's, as some weekends (starting Friday) clearance plants are all 75% off. I got a couple of pink-tinged flower-shaped succulents I've wanted that were almost $19 each – both for $11!

  11. I laughed to myself when you mentioned "out of reach for squirrels"! I love your bird feeder idea, and it made me think of a few places I could use a couple safely – we haw had squirrels around, largely because neighbors on the next street over keep putting out walnuts!

  12. Such a clever bird feeder idea! Thanks for taking us shopping with you. The seeds at our local hardware store are so expensive. There was even a pack of orange bell pepper seeds for over $4 a pack! We don't have a 99 cent store, but we do have a Dollar Tree… so I think we'll be checking out their seed selection. Thanks again!🙂👍

  13. I love the gnomes .
I wish we had a dollar store close to us. Our closest one is over 20 miles away .

  14. Now this is what I like to do on a Saturday night! Great video thanks for showing all of that cool stuff, we dont have 99 cent type stores here like you do in California

  15. Thanks Robbie! I was looking for a scooter on Saturday, went to goodwill but forgot to go to the 99 cents store! Shame on me.

  16. hi robbie 🤗
hardly anything in the 99-cents only store is $1.
i go there several times a month – fewer and fewer items are 99 cents each time i go. good thing for me, i mostly go for seeds that are 4/$1 😁 tfs

  17. For anyone who doesn't know – those pinwheels are for scaring birds AWAY! My daughter put one next to a bird feeder, years ago, and couldn't figure out why no birds were eating the birdseed, LOL!

  18. I love how all these store claim “99 cents” “5below” “dollar tree” and they are well above. Hilarious. It’s not funny at all actually…

  19. Thank you Robbie you teach so much and I love your frugal ways . I always want to do things more economically .

  20. Yea, they have these little watering steaks and those crumble too. Thankfully I bought them off season for like 10¢, because most of them have fallen apart. 🥴

  21. We here in Florida Dollar Tree have this buckets for $1.25 and they have number 5 PP. do you think it is safe to use for planting vegetables? And they don’t smell

  22. Enjoyed this video. I bought 2 of the wire baskets from dollar tree to make the bird feeders. I absolutely love that idea

  23. I love all the hummingbird flying all around you while you work. Here in Arizona low desert we have a very aggressive hummingbirds that protect and chase off other hummingbirds from feeders. I tried placing different feeders around my house and that darn bird found a purch high enough so it could watch every feeder. He was very busy chasing birds. So now I just grow many flowers they love and let nature do it's thing. I love the inexpensive hand tools because I am so bad putting then up. This way I always have one handy.

  24. Love going shopping with you! We don't have any .99 stores here, wish we did! Years ago I found one of those wire hanging baskets at Goodwill and .25 and I took an old bundt pan, drill some tiny holes in the bottom, stuck it in the hanging basket and the birds are still using it to this day. I hang most of my bird feeders under an old Ozark pop up canopy to keep the hawks from getting my babies and to give them shelter from the weather. It's so much fun to make things for the critters.

  25. I search for starts with more than 1 plant all the time and separate them to individual containers. All the little plastic pots that mushrooms come on make great watering trays.

  26. Excellent idea with the Hanging Basket! I have one that sits empty since the plant I had in it died from the scorching sun. Now, your idea has given it a new life hahaha. I used to sit bird seed on a plate on a plant stand, now it will sit in the hanging basket 🙂

  27. Thank you so much for y'alls videos, they are so helpful and enjoyable too. After this one I ran to dollar tree and came back with seeds and flower pots!!

  28. At My Dollar store everything is $1.25.
Can you demonstrate how you use the straight tomatoe stakes?
    Thx

  29. I absolutely love your 99 cent store. The 99 cent stores in my area doesn't look anything like yours. This looks almost like a Dollar Tree or a Family Dollar store.
    I love that you give your furbaby/dog 🥦 . I fed my furbaby/dog broccoli, cauliflower, 🥕, 🍉 and 🍏 .

  30. I saw today (Feb 1, 2023) that Walmart has American Seed for twenty cents a packet. I was able to get Swiss Mix pansies there. Gets put into the refrigerator for next late autumn.
Aldi and Rural King has my favorite very large (approximately 18 gallon) planting containers.
