    I would never laugh at this. It’s a learning experience. Loud obnoxious bird chatter that gets on the beautiful hummingbirds breaks my heart. Maybe next time you’ll have a good laugh. Well I mean the reference the Alford Hitchcock was funny. 😃

    You might be able to screw a plastic peanut butter jar to a plate so it makes a self feeder. That way you don't have to refill it as much.

    😄 Oh my , that sounds like something I would totally do ~ then stand back & say , " WHAT WAS I THINKING ? " That is amazing how quickly they all just flocked in ! But in the end Everyone is happy & the Hummingbirds have forgiven you !!! 😂🥰

    I'd love to know how to squirrel proof something like that. The grey squirrels ( Native in my area ) kept bullying the cardinals when I tried having a plate of bird seed out, kept hogging it all. I don't mind letting them have some, but not to the point where they won't share at all

    It looks like you took the heavier plate out of the bird feeder and just left the plastic plate.

    I think the hummingbirds are better to have close to the house. The bigger birds are noisy like you say. I usually feed the larger birds around my compost heap. It's fun to see the birds line up for food. Birds make winter better, and to watch the critters fly around like crazy bats is one of my favorite pass times. I am amazed at all your hummingbirds. Enjoy your day watching all the birds!

    thank you for the video!. Please show how to squirrel proof the feeder. I am going to grow sunflowers this year, just for the birds, and they put a smile on my face. I think I can save money by growing my own, than buying bird seed.

    I wish I wish I have 0 hummingbirds here and my regular little birds dont stay Why because of crows and jays I absolutely hate it!!!so I took all my feeders down and and decided to feed the scavengers instead for nowThe elk stold my collard and kale so now I am going to feed the scavengers crows and jays and the squrrels if they come back but so far no sweet birds or squrrels

    My boo-boo was to move my bird feeder from my backyard to the front yard in front of my bay window..underneath the feeders are Milkweed for the Monarch’s. Welll, the birds throw the seeds into the middle of the Milkweed and now I have grass growing ..No caterpillars yet ,but plenty of birds..

    Thanks for sharing that. Now I'm pretty sure that's why I didn't get hummingbirds last summer. I wondered if they minded all the sparrows and finches near their feeders. This summer it will be hummingbirds in the front and the rest in the back.

    I love this idea!!! I wish I could set one up but I have cats in my yard and I’ve been trying to protect the birds from the cats and feed them at the same time

    If you want just finches and cardinals, you should try using safflower seeds. They love it, and the rest of the birds will leave them alone.

    I’m having such a problem with honeybees in Phx area. I bought the same exact feeders you own. Once they found them, that’s all she wrote. I cannot keep them away. I’ve tried EVERYTHING. Moving the feeders to shaded areas, bee repellent for hummingbird feeders, smearing lemon juice and zest over them. Nothing works.
