  1. Nicole do all your little pots with plants just die out during winter? Do you store them in garage? Do any of your potted plants make it through from year to year?

  2. Not a great year for vegies in my yard either. Green beans did good, green pepper plant is pretty good, snap peas kind of meh, cukes were a failure and I found out the ants had made a huge colony in the pot so I think that was why it did so badly. I'm waiting to see how my mini pumpkins and my mini watermelons do, it's my first time with them. Like you my Lantana just didn't do well at all, curly leaves and mini flowers. My front yard is a cottage garden and it needs to be totally dug out and redone. The tall phlox are the only thing doing well out there. Oh well, there's always next year right? I really like your portulaca, I'll have to try some next year.

  3. It’s been so hot all over the US so I’m sure that’s the reason our plants have been struggling and i feel so bad for them! I planted zinnias and sunflowers from seed in pots and placed them on my deck. They’ve grown so beautifully and i cut them along with my hydrangea and hostas to make indoor arrangements out of them. I also add sprigs of my chocolate mint to add scent and that height to the arrangement.it’s like field flowers for free lol 🌸

  4. My lantana didn’t do well this summer either. Usually they are huge and beautiful, not this year. I live in Arkansas and the sun has seemed so much stronger this summer.

  5. Honestly with the heat this summer and those dang wabbits its a wonder anything survived at all. The rabbits ate all my cone flowers and the heat has killed a lot of things and Im trying to grow new grass where they had to replace the sewer system so I get discouraged too in August. But in the Spring Im already to start over, hope springs eternal! Thanks for sharing, I hope we all get some nice rain.

  6. Love seeing your flowers. My gardens are 90% succulents and cacti because I chose to grow them a few years ago because they don’t require much water. I love them and many do have flowers. I do have Hibiscus which love the sun and plumerias whom also love the sun. Isn’t fun to watch them thrive😄❤️

  7. I love that you feed the wild life …. Don’t feel bad, here in WV, it’s dry too….plus my tomato only had 4 tomatoes ….something had taken a bite out of each one, lol…oh well there always next year, love your videos….

  8. My petunia is getting “leggy”, I didn’t know you could cut them back. I will try that.

  9. I think alot of it is the heat. But when you deadhead your Zinnias and marigolds you can dry them on a paper plate. Then you can out them in a plastic bag for next year. But make sure the are dry before putting them in plastic bag.

  10. Looks great Nicole! I only had a couple pots in the front and I gave up a couple weeks ago. haha I kept them alive for a decent amount of time but it's been so hot and humid here that they were needing far more attention than I was up for. 😂

  11. Hi Nicole. Try spraying Peppermint essential oil around the plants that the rabbits like. Peppermint is a scent that a lot of animals dislike. Worth a try

  12. I have three plants that bloom when the sun is out and they are beautiful , and they sleep 💤 when the sun is not on them .🥰I did not know you could cut certain flowers back and refresh them , thanks for the information.👍we have a bunny that has feasted on two of my plants I just hope it doesn’t find the same flowers potted on my porch. ( moss roses and purslane.) love my flowers and don’t like to see them disappear before their time .I saw a bunny looking from the bottom of my porch steps at me. When I looked back it took off LOL 😂 great video.❤️

  13. Thanks a lot mam for this kind informative video about gardening tips……👌👌🙏🌿😊🍂👍

  14. Keep it up n stay connected with our gardener family with new joined friend 🍀☘🍃🙏🍂😊🍂👍

  15. The plate garden is gorgeous. I think so many of your plants are looking great. Utah is in such a drought I’m glad I didn’t get around to planting this years. Besides we have had like 25 days over 100. Ugh 😣

  16. I think it’s been a global problem as I’m in Europe and everyone has been saying what a poor year it’s been for the veggies. I have no beans, no courgettes , no beetroot, no radish and no bunnies.so even with a irrigation system I’m also a failure🙄😍😎🇫🇷

  17. Nicole!!! What a lovely surprise to run into you just as im leaving and you walking in lol! What a great gift i received. Had to hold back because i kept wanting to just hug ya. Hope u found some things! Love ya Nicole you keep doing you!

  18. Your garden looks pretty good for August. I use a product called liquid fence to keep rabbits away! It is harmless to plants and animals. Has a scent that rabbits and deer don't like. Works for me.
Thank you for educating viewers about cutting back and dead heading plants. The plant will keep trying to feed the spent bloom.
Enjoy your beautiful gardens and lawn. Thank you for sharing!😊🌻🌷

  19. I have the same problem so hot and dry my flowers look awful till I water then they bounce back. Love your flowers.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  20. I think it's just hot everywhere. I'm ready for Fall. Unfortunately, here in GA that doesn't happen until Nov. The good thing is, we don't have to water our lawn because it's so humid. It stays green until winter. Stay safe.

  21. Helpful hint on the clematis, they like sun but the roots like to be shaded. I stack rocks around the base after planting. Or plant where under plantings will shade the root system.

  22. Yup leggy petunias. That’s a thing. I finally got 2 zinnia blooms yay. And my patio tomato plants are yielding a few a week. Enough for sandwiches lol. Love from Jersey

  23. Very nice garden….there's something to be said for the BURST of colors!! I love the dish tub! What is the white flowers called? Maddy looked cute!! TFS.😊 👍 💖 🌷🌹🌸🌼🌺🌾🌱

  24. I think watering helps but do you ever notice after a nice easy rain how everything kind of perks up? It has been a strange summer everywhere. We have lived in Western Pennsylvania for 15 years and it has been the hottest, nastiest summer since we moved here.

  25. Your plants look great Nicole. I'm in N California and I'm fighting 100+ ° days . My containers need to constantly watered. Very time consuming. My Zinnias are the only flowers doing well. My succulents are thriving though.
I'm jealous of your rain! No rain here…not a drop from May to October.😩

  26. I gave up on growing anything this year. I went to the dollar tree snd bought a whole bunch of the flowers and faux succulents. I glued the blooms on the stems, then i sprayed them lightly with clear coat paint so hopefully they will not fade in the sun.
