First Shrub Delivery for the 2023 Season | Gardening with Creekside

There are only a few short weeks left until we open for the 2023 season, and we just got our first shrub delivery for the season. As a grower-retailer we grow the vast majority of plants, but we still like to supplement our stock with plants from other nurseries for diversity (we just can’t grow everything). Join me as we take a look to all of the beauties that arrived!

  1. Oh my word Jenny, I’m so excited to see all these shrubs…come on Springtime!! Can’t wait to see the AquaPot unboxing

  2. Another great video! Thanks Jenny & Jerry. Just checked with our local PW retailers. They will open in March. By then I will have a laundry list of plants I’ll be looking for.

  3. I'm so excited for spring and can't wait to plant. I just cut down a dead bush so I'm looking to replace it. Great video

  4. Im such a big fan of all annuals. I love the constant color so gardening is a little expensive for me but its a hobby I love and so I budget for the season. Cant wait to purchase the proven winners this year. I planted the jazz berry last year and just loved it. Did a mass planting and it worked beautiful Snowing here right now in SE Wisconsin so this is so fun to watch

  5. I can't think of a better ❤️ Valentine's gift ❤️ than the opening of Creekside Nursery.

Man, you guys never get any down time. Always something to do at the nursery.

  6. You are the best, with your adorable hat! Have lists upon lists of all of your suggestions, and have passed them on. Too far away to get to you but so wish I could. I do just that. Pause the video and write it all down. Cold here but going out to trim roses, and clean up. Can’t wait for the warm weather, but be careful what I wish for.

  7. Aqua pot is making an insert that is supposed to fit into different size pots. Are you going to carry that? I do not plant in pots because of the watering issue but I would invest in this to use in pots I have in place.

  8. Central Alabama checking in here! Oh I hope we can come see you this spring! We tried last year but my mother was having health issues and I didn’t want to be that far away. My husband and I are hoping to be in the Charlotte area at the end of April and I told him that we HAVE to come to your nursery! Espoma and Proven Winners are hard to find around here. Fingers crossed 🤞!

  9. It will take a few months before we get to planting something or even tidying up the garden here I Denmark, but I will live vicariously through you until then 😊

  10. I am soooo awaiting our last frost date in about 3 weeks so I can go to work in our yard! Thank you for more great content! I am looking forward to getting a peek at what y’all will showcase from the next shipments too!!

  11. Are you going to bring in the new line of Aquapots? Really anxious to see the new material and the urn.

  12. Have you seen the Canary Wings Begonia? They are beautiful. I first saw them last season- they are gorgeous!!

  13. Love it! “What is worm castings? Basically worm poop!” Way to call it like you see it, Jenny!😁

  14. Any advice on where to purchase one of those rose bush trees? The ones that bush out but grow tall like a shrub/tree .. I think you had one in one of your other videos.

My great-grandparents had one and I would love to get one . Can't seem to find them anywhere..
Im in Louisiana zone 9 b..

  15. I had the sup-tunia honey in a hanging basket last year. We absolutely hated each other. So I put her in the ground and we both loved it. She is a beautiful 🌸. Will absolutely grow her again.

  16. 17. I love your hat and that Pom-Pom is adorable! I’m too far away, but if I was closer I’d be a repeat customer 😊

  18. Always amazed by the beauty of your garden which is very stunning, thank you for sharing, good luck always and keep the spirit up 👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️

  19. I bought from Johnson's Nursery when I had my small garden center in Ocean Isle Beach NC. They are super…grow great plants and are super people.

  20. Jenny,
Love the tour–can't believe spring planting season & ya'all's opening is just around the corner! 😯
I see you're wearing another "not-a-Minnie-Pearl-cap." 😉 They're not only cute, but look to be really well made & toasty warm! Are they wool or cotton? Did Santa leave them under ya'all's tree &, if so, how many colors did he bring? 🤔 So far I've counted one dark green, one brown, & one white, but suspect Santa brought you even more. 😉
Thank you for the lovely tour! 😊

  21. I love the teaching element you provide to your videos. I love plants and I love how you help us understand them and their growing habits.
    Thank you!

  22. Someone needs to breed a hardy gardenia for us zone 6 gardens. Hope to find my way to Dallas, NC sometime this year! Love your videos.

  23. So exciting! I'm right up the road from Johnson's. I may be running down there to get some of those Azaleas and Pufferfish! Once my littles get a bit older we will make the trek across the state to visit you guys!
