Big Delivery of Proven Winners Annuals | Gardening with Creekside

One of the funnest parts of being a grower is taking delivery of new plants in late winter, and we just received a large order of Proven Winners annuals from our friends at Pleasant View Gardens. We know that spring is coming fast and very soon we will have greenhouses filled with massive color! It really is like Christmas morning in February, and I personally never get tired of seeing these sweet plants arrive at Creekside.

  1. I so needed this reminder of what’s coming. I have a whole new big sunny bed to work with this summer too.

  2. Hi Jenny 🌺fun and interesting job awaits you in green houses I 'm waiting to see all the baskets full of beautiful flowers . Have anice day .🌺🪻🌺

  3. So exciting! I hoe you get the Surefire Rose. I'd like to try that this year. Can't wait to get my hands dirty!! 😃

  4. Our nurseries here in West Southern Oregon vary rarely bring in Proven Winners. I see only a handful off and on. So for the last two years I have been pre ordering them online in late Fall in order to get the plants I want in my garden. Well worth paying the freight to get outstanding plants. Thank you Creekside for your videos!!

  5. Thanks as always, Jenny and Jerry, for taking us along for the ride. So fun to see the process. Looking forward to shopping 🌞

  6. Hahahaha OMG! As someone who has worked warehousing & distribution for close to 20 years, you all were killing my OCD! My anxiety & OCD went crazy when you were unloading the truck, placing them on the trailer & then placing them in the greenhouse lol all I could think of was "assembly line it"! lol. You definitely had enough help present to just form a line and pass it on. Saves time and numerous steps involved. Not to mention the bottlenecking of having to keep maneuvering around one another to avoid collisions. Maybe for the next truck 😆😂🤣🤣🤣

  7. I work at a local ACE, and last year, we had to have a new nursery for our annuals. You hit it on the head about having a good delivery driver! I was coming in to work when the truck pulled in. 65% looked dead! They were in a hot box and dry as a bone. I called the owner and said not to accept the delivery. The manager called and said they were fine. HA! It was hard not to say I told you so. Plus side, I was able to get 100's of free PW and no name annuals as there could have been a bit of growth and watching you, I checked the roots! I stood at the dumpster and picked hopefuls. My SUV was packed. A lot of work, love, and Espoma gave me the best garden ever! Fyi, only 30-40 plants made it.

  8. So so exciting. Can hardly wait to see you guy’s plant them up. It should be fantastic. Loved this video. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

  9. It is so fun to see all those gorgeous plants coming in for the new growing season, and that you are excited about it as well. Just being able to get plants potted and getting your hands in the dirt again growing things must make you super happy. Enjoy and thanks for sharing.

  10. Everything looks so awesome! I’m writing my lists now so I’m prepared to purchase when they are available in my area.
P.s. I LOVE your hat!! It looks homemade and would love the pattern. Did you make it yourself? 🤩

  11. Just started to watch the video and have an idea that might be of help. When the trays were being moved into the greenhouse you could mark the cement with colored chalk as to what they are. I enjoy watching your videos and all the prep work let's put forth into this operation. It's almost overwhelming at hearing you talking about each and every individual plant in what ones work best and Planters and soil and certain conditions. It's hard to keep track of all that.

  12. How do you get the flowers to run through each other. Do you need six plugs to achieve that? When I plant three different 4.5 inch containers in a basket, the plants grow separately so you can’t even see the plant at the back. Thanks for your wonderful videos! I have learned so much.

  13. Good morning mother..on this sunny day, may you always be given health and success..👍👍❤️❤️🙏🙏🇮🇩🇮🇩

  14. wondering if you have seen the fun "planting" machine that spits out the soil and makes easier work of planning plugs. Saw it on Garden Crossings you tube.

  15. Amazing how much planning, organizing and dedication it takes to manage your garden center, congratulations and have your best year ‼️🌼🌺🌸🌹

  16. Those recipes look amazing! I am now plotting where I could put them and run irrigation to them.

  17. It’s so cool to see all the baby annuals before they get potted up into the proven winners pots
