    Have not stepped inside of Walmart for years. Employees are miserable and underpaid.

    I live in a small Mississippi town called Pascagoula. The same thing happened to me at Walmart last summer. I got lucky when another customer happened to walk past the garden center door. He was kind enough to go get someone. I asked for the store manager and she wouldn't come talk to me instead sent a team lead. My flowers were free after that happened. Nobody walked the area for safety before locking the garden center doors. The employees told me to stop thrives and the homeless from living in the garden at night the doors are locked at 7pm.

    I carry a club so I would have broken the glass.
    I don't trust automatic doors anyway.
    I have a Pesky Pet humming bird feeder that gets a vapor lock, fluid will not go to the bottom. I drilled the holes bigger and it still gets a vapor lock.
    I guess I forget feeding the humming birds.

    Call the fire department if you are locked in anywhere. We were once locked behind security gate in Montana. So surprised to learn the fire department considers it their job😊

    The cheap seeds at Walmart and Dollar Tree were more interesting last year.
    It's pretty warm here in North Central Florida. The Walmart's here keep the doors open.

    I notice you never use the spaceship/saucer-style feeders that many folks rave about. Can you talk about why you choose the plastic tall feeders instead? Will these keep the bees out and not leak? Thanks, Robbie!

    Glad you were not stuck in there longer! Anddddd….as a side note, I bet the County Fire Marshall would cite them for that malfunctioning door for sure! There were stacks of fertilizer's etc in that area – all flammable….having non functioning doors like that is a fire hazard!

    The super cheap seeds were available at Walmart in my area a month or 2 ago. They are now gone. I don't think they sold out, but just removed them.
    Next time, stick your basket in the way of the door.

    Those doors require on avg a 50 pound object to trigger. So it's not likely a cat or bird could pop it

    I worked at Walmart for 15 1/2 years and also ran the garden center. If the doors are like they used to be, they should push in away from the track in case of an emergency. I'm sorry you got stuck out there. Most of the Walmart garden centers here don't have their outdoor garden areas fully staffed until it gardening season really gets going. I had my garden center fully staffed and open every day. Big difference between now and how it was back then.

    Oh Robbie, I'm glad you aren't still locked in the store. I bet if you did a live feed when you were locked in someone would have gotten you out sooner.
    Customer service let's the phones ring and ring and ring. They aren't apologetic about it. In fact one told me she was the guilty party. As sir stood there chatting with someone. Sometimes the pharmacy let's the phones ring off the hook too. So if you are in the parking lot to pick up a prescription you would be there a long time. Don't get me wrong or pharmacy personnel are wonderful! So many other problems too, including racism among staff, including management. 😢

    Electronics and Pharmacy are the only departments that have employees at the register at my stores. Garden Center doesn't have an employee until the plants come late April.

    The 5 for $1.00 seeds sold out quickly here in CT even though they hid the display in the bbq area 😂
    There's not as many seeds this year as in years past even at the $1.00 for 4 at the DollarTree 😮
    For future reference calling 911 would get you out quickly and that door properly fixed because they'd get a ticket for fire violation which would be also a notification to the district manager 😂

    Don’t they make announcements anymore. The store is closing in 15 minutes make your way to the register, store is closing in 10 minutes, 5 minutes etc… the workers had to cash out the registers etc.

    Oh my!! I'm sure that was very unsettling! I wanted to share that I had my first hummingbird visitors today! Two of them have been there since just before lunch! I live 45 miles southwest of Atlanta, Ga. There have been lots of hummingbird sightings lately in my area!
