  1. Amazing!! I just love your method so much! I basically copy everything u do and teach now lol πŸ˜† ❀ I been doing a 2 system since last year started with the pitchers and then started with the free bakery 2.5 and 3 gallon buckets. Just composting in places everywhere and getting together our first rainbow chair garden for this year. Last year I did grow bags. They were free and a blessing for sure . They were a gift from a family member. But a back breaker to water 2x a day in the summer heat. Looking forward to bucket and tote gardening on chairs this year lol πŸ˜‚πŸ’•πŸ˜β€

  2. I love your channel soooo much! This will be my third year at trying to grow a backyard garden, (in my small concrete track housing yard). I wanted to give up, but watching your videos, and a couple of other garden podcasting folks in So Cal, has helped encourage me to try again. Thank you so much! 😊🌱🌿

  3. I know you like to shop the Dollar tree. Have you ever thought of using the plastic covers for covering food bowls? I love them they're so convenient , instant greenhouses & reusable. I think there's like 17 in the box.

  4. Robbie I listened to you I dig holes in my garden bed, buried my kitchen scraps and then sit a bucket with soil on top of it, and I got tons of earthworms, yesterday I went outside to look at I found so many huge earthworms.

  5. You can use a rubber band to keep the plastic wrap or tulle in place. Love your videos. Thanks for all your awesome ideas!!

  6. OH SO HAPPY FOR YOU ROBBIE πŸ’— HUBBY KEEPS REPLANTING. I GUESS IT'S TOO COLD HERE. HE'S CUTTING BACK ON WATERING TOO. LOVE YOU ROBBIE. ❀

  7. Hi Robbie!
I love these videos. I tried your seed method and also the paper cup method to put the seeds once they grow a root. Because it's still cold at night, I'm definitely having to do something like your two system pots as they're indoors and I'm running out of room πŸ˜…
I have a nice tall table in front of a bright sunny window so my radishes, lettuce, green onion and chives are growing.. also calendula and zinnia. Some are in pots with kitchen scraps covered with soil and leaves and shredded paper. Hopefully it won't smell. So far, so good!
Looking forward to bringing it all outside hopefully soon.
I also collected food grade plastic containers from a birthday party that I aim to find a use for in some form or fashion with my plants!
    Cheers from WI 😊

  8. I loved your video. Wow you are a very intelligent lady I am so proud I found your channel. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and willingness to share it with us.

  9. So I went to Walmart and their totes start at $10 on up. Not inexpensive.
Do you think the clear totes are good for planting in or should they be solid opaque ones to keep out the heat

  10. Robbie you are just so creative and fun!
Ok, my garden this year is interesting ! Winter sowed my seeds this year ! And did my sprouting inside and they did sprout and just planted them in soil ! It’s been super cold here in CLE NO SUN !
Just learned from you to put my kitchen scraps that are in plastic bags in the garden just sitting …..in my pots ! Thx πŸ€“πŸ€“πŸ€“πŸ€“πŸ˜
As I look at your southern Ca sunshine , I am envious! β™₯️ thx as always and have a great evening πŸ€“πŸ₯°πŸ˜‡πŸ™πŸΌ

  11. Hi Robbie, I've told a few folks to join your channel & just realized I hadn't yet…so here I am. I've a spinal cord impairment & gardening is my only pain relief. Here in N.E., MT all we can do is wish right now. Unless you're experimenting inside like a mad scientist. Yep, I'm conjuring up lots of greenery. Your little dog, Kitty cracks me up with the broccoli. Her & my Grymm are so much alike. His sister, Zarina only likes sweet fruit. Anyhow, I was watching another video where you take broccoli from the store, place it in a clear jar with a bit of water & wait for roots to grow. I even did the full experiment with a cut stalk from green broccoli and the other flowered stalk on even when its not edible. It's been about 5 days now & the one w/a flowered stalk is shooting up brand new florets. The other is growing tiny roots, so I'll plant it in a few weeks. Hopefully my mad experiment will give you your own to try. If nothing else, Kitty won't complain as she'll have plenty of broccoli florets to eat. Much love, ~ Covah

  12. Nature is amazing, especially when it is lovingly cared for!πŸ™πŸŒˆπŸ‘πŸ»

  13. Great video as always 😊 Thank you for sharing and have a great day and happy gardening πŸŒΏπŸŒ±πŸ˜ŠπŸ€—

  14. This year I'm going to plant my zucchinis in smaller pots like yours. I will try… I see that your zucchini is happy and it's growing. So cool you have zucchini already 😊 the way you plant it it's genius πŸ‘ Thank you Robbie for the update!!! Your idea worked so perfectly fine ❀️🌟

  15. Guten Tag ❀

  16. You are so amazing! This is my first year starting a garden and I have been sharing your wisdom with my friends and neighbors. Your ears should be burning as I keep telling everyone about your channel, the great info you provide and all of the creative ideas you share. Your kitchen compost looks so clean, do I need to rinse out the eggshells before I drop them directly into my bucket?
Everyone – Please remember to click the "Like" button on Robbie's videos!

  17. Very inspirational, Robbie! I can't wait to try it. Kitty is so adorable! Raining again in Nor Cal today and tomorrow. I set out 2 zucchini's and 2 yellow squash plants I grew indoors in the garden with "green house" tops (plastic bins, and the plastic containers that Trader Joe's chocolate chip cookies come in- perfect little green houses), I hope they make it!

  18. I don't know if anyone has dared mention it, but i think Kitty is a brocco-holic. There must be a support group for that, should you want to seek help.

  19. I have been following your methods of composting in place, and I have had the most amazing looking vegetables in my life πŸ₯° This spring I dumped all my food scraps into a garden bed and covered it with soil ready to plant out, but before I got back to it I had all sorts of things growing happily, so I left it alone, now it’s autumn (I’m in Australia ) I’m waiting for 12 pumpkins, 4 melons and 2 butternut squash to ripen, I have spent the summer picking tons of tomatoes that grew and even had a small crop of potatoes πŸ₯°. I love, love, love that you showed me how to compost in place, it’s the only plant food I will ever need, Thank you from the bottom of mine and my families Australian hearts πŸ₯°

  20. I put compost in the bottom of all my planters, what do I do to keep the possums from turning the planters over and digging the dirt & plant out to get to the compost? I love you guys channel, TIA!

  21. Love, love, love ya Robbie! I grew 3 containers of potatoes. One of the containers was actually just a container I used to toss in my scraps, I didn’t intend to grow anything in it but potato plants came up so I left them. when I dumped all 3 containers the one I used as compost had the biggest potatoes in it and the soil wasn’t even that broken down. I had pine needles and oak leaves in it!!!! The other two had more potatoes but were quite small. Thanks for all your tips and tricks! I’m working on bird garden. A single cardinal and a several squirts have found the feeders.

  22. So happy it worked! too Robbie! I'm excited to try this. I've tons baby lettuces & zuccini seeds on hand…πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š I have a silly question. Now that I have tons of baby worms in compost bin…can I move a handful & place into my bins w compost pitchers? TQ
