Origami Festival at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden

Community members discovered why people have been enchanted by the art of origami — Japanese paper folding — for centuries as the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) hosted the annual Origami Festival.

Guests had hands-on experience creating a three dimensional object from a single sheet of paper. More than 40 experts from local and national origami clubs taught a variety of different folds for people of all experience levels including animals, geometric forms and moveable origami.
