  1. Hi Linda, love your content and look forward to your shows. I have to say, after watching this one I wanted to address your comment "you're not supposed to say master bedroom anymore". I wasn't sure where you were coming from regarding that comment but I wanted you to know that it was not a term used or coined during slave times as noted in the linked NYT article. I feel like every day society keeps adding land minds to our language and bullying with do's and don'ts to keep from offending others but the offenses never seem to end. I truly want to be respectful and thoughtful to real offenses in society but the word "master" is used in so many ways that have NOTHING to do with slave history. I hope that my designation as a "Master Gardener" isn't the next title to be stripped or what about my friend's Master's Degree in Nursing …Master bedroom simply means the main bedroom and everyone that has a bedroom to sleep in has a master bedroom…of course, you are allowed to use whatever language you want in your show but, my main bedroom will continue to be the master bedroom

  2. I love the new birch bark planters that you are exhibiting. So nice to have fresh flowers in your house every week. Yes, I change out my bedding seasonally. Creamy white for late spring and summer. A beautiful Pottery Barn duvet cover with pillow shams made of fall colors like rust, browns a moss green, and a splash of an yellow, gold color. This set is reversible. For winter, a white bass nonreversible duvet print with mistletoe, various types of evergreens leaves and pinecones.

  3. Years ago, I took all my magazines, and I'm talking a lot, and I tore out every idea that I loved, then I put them in those plastic sleeves and into a loose leaf binder! It was my Bible for decorating for years!!

  4. Just lovely, Linda! I love the flower arrangements in the stumps so creative and beautiful. ❤

  5. Hi Linda I was wondering why you did not take your sweet concrete bunny you had in your other garden or your beautiful concrete birdbath? I guess I get attached to my garden treasures so I think everyone else does too.

  6. Yes, Linda. I like to save my magazine sheets in sheet protectors in a big binder. I sort them too by different kinds of categories. 🌿 Do you ever source flowers from the Oklahoma Flower Market? Of course Trader Joes is a great source too! Just curious.

  7. How did you know I drink chocolate milk, Linda? 😂 other people drink tea or coffee. I have a cup of chocolate 😊

  8. Linda, love the storage cubes! Please share where you got them. Everything looking good! Mandy from Tucson🌵

  9. I put all my magazine tear ours in 3 ring binders with each page it’s own plastic sleeve. Organized by topic.. garden, kitchen, etc

  10. I change bedroom bedding and curtains with winter/summer. Have thought about putting slipcovers on living room furniture for lighter look for summer, but haven’t pulled the trigger on that one yet.

  11. The cottage is looking wonderful. I love your bedding! I would like to know where you got the battery lamps. It looks great in your kitchen as well. I like to change the curtains in my living room with a lighter weight for summer. I appreciate your approach to design inside and outside of the cottage.

  12. I use the soft plastic three ring binders with sheet protectors and dividers. Of course there is a section for patios, porches, boundary beds and floating beds in the yard. A section for storage ideas for outside. Anything that speaks to me or inspires goes in a fantasy section. I even have a binder for kitchen recipes, etc. And a home decor binder.

  13. Linda, I love your outfit! The colors are perfect for you. Sorry you had problems with your bath hot water, glad it is fixed. I also had a bathroom window similar to yours. You may want to consider placing a curtain in the curved top part of the window. Without one, trust me, when the light is on the neighbors across the street can see into your bath from their second story. I found a curtain designed to fit into the curved top and it was lovely. Keep up the great job! 😊

  14. Hi Linda
I did not know daffodils had toxins that kill other cut flowers. 😧I love the wood vase. You look terrific. I do still cut things out and keep them in folders near my computer. But sometimes I keep
Magazine or newspaper cuttings in cabinets that are relevant. So in my dining room I keep magazine cuttings of favorite flower arrangements which I bring to my florist if I want a certain look. So glad you can enjoy your free standing tub. It’s a beautiful tub. Sydney was talking about your tulips today! ❤️🤗🥰7 a New York

  15. My house stays pretty much the same all year, except for the plants that are indoors in winter and outdoors in summer. Once I get things arranged the way I want it, I am unable to move things or change things by myself… I'm almost 80, so I need to be satisfied with what I have already.

  16. I’ve put my tear sheets from magazines in a accordion file folder. Then every few years, I try to go thru and thin out if needed.

  17. I love collecting pictures out of magazines for inspiration. I have purchased decorative 3-ring binders from Walmart and put my pictures in clear sleeves and put it my binders. I have separate binders for decorating, gardening, health, recipes, aging, etc. I enjoy looking through them when needing an idea.

  18. A swirl of fresh honeysuckle around the daffodil container and flowing down over the trunk would look beautiful.

  19. Yes! I always change our bedding out for the seasons. I have spring/summer duvet and sheets and I have a heavier winter duvet and fleece sheets to keep cozy all winter.

  20. I put my tear sheets in clear sheet protectors inside a 3 ring binder. You can then use 3-hole tabbed dividers to organize sheets by category, etc., if you want to organize further

  21. Thank you for normalizing keeping tear sheets from magazines, Linda. I have many old magazine pages dating back to the 1980s and 1990s (mostly fashion but some interior decorating/design). They're among my most prized possessions and they take me back in history when I look at them, putting me in touch with what I used to love and what I still do — and how design and color has influenced me over the years. I'm decidedly low-tech — I keep them in large yellow office envelopes. Not ideal for display but they keep everything corralled. By the way, it's remarkable what you've done with your new house in the time you've been there. It looks beautiful!

  22. Been sulking around the house this morning after my feelings getting hurt pretty badly…. So i fired this up with my comfort food lunch (mashed potatoes and gravy) and this JUST LIFTED ME right out of my funk! I started repotting houseplants that will soon go out to the decks and porches. And I cut some Quince and magnolia from the garden to force inside. Thank you Linda for the community you bring to life here.❤ Can’t wait for the companion journal coming! 🎉QOTD: I decorate a simple composition notebook and paste my magazine tear sheets into them using a glue stick. I can index it in front, and I can make notes next to the tear sheets about what is speaking to me, or how and where I should consider this in my own home. It’s cheap, I can add a pocket by folding down a corner to stash things. I have one for indoors, one for outdoors, and one for food.

  23. Can you tell us mote about your bracelets in this video? I did see a style short for the outfit

  24. Love your home! Thank you for sharing it with us! So beautiful! Do you have a link to your battery operated lamps? Saw them in the bookcases and bathroom! Love them!

  25. Hi Linda and thanks for the video. Not sure you will read a comment from a few days ago but one questions: did I miss the link for how to make a hollow log? You stated you would show the link are the end of the video. Thanks!
