John from http://www.growingyourgreens.com/ takes you on a tour of his front yard urban raised bed vegetable garden that was formerly a lawn in the winter. In this episode, you will learn what John grew in the Winter of 2017 in his front yard organic garden in Zone 9b.
You will discover the many different types of vegetables he is growing and you will learn why vegetables grow much slower in the winter time. You will also learn about some of the challenges of winter vegetable gardening and how to overcome them. You will discover growing edible mulch and how growing plant close together will allow you to improve your soil and increase your production.
Along the way, you will learn a few things about growing food in the front yard of a standard American tract home in the suburbs and how much food you can grow even in your front yard that can easily help to feed you and your family.
After watching this episode, you will learn some of the many crops you can grow during the winter season in mild climates (zone 9) without any protection from the elements.

John, I have honestly been thinking about making the switch to vegan for the health benefits and to get away from saturated fat. But I'm sketched out that I won't get enough protein I was just thinking it would be cool if you showed how you get your protein only eating plant based foods and foods that you eat that are nutritious and support your protein intake, thanks john love the videos.
Issai Hardy Kiwi Berry would be good on your arbor
