  1. Jerusalem artichokes are pretty & edible tuber great for diabetics. Give it a try…comes back year after year.โคโคโคwq

  2. I feel so ashamed I haven't checked it on your channel in awhile and I'm sitting here falling in love with it all over again perfect timing spring has sprung woootwooot!!

  3. I'm in zone 7b and I grow taro every year. They don't produce like crazy but I usually get more than I put in and I always miss a few that grow the following year. Taro like a lot of water and in some places they grow in a paddy like rice, so more water is ok but not necessary at all. I tell my kids that they are "tropical potatoes" lol.

  4. Dan I've got a bunch of grow bags we are using this year brother I was worried about watering them. Went to home Depot and Lowes and picked up a bunch of those Square medium concrete mixing tubs to set the grow bags in. Alot deeper than regular plant saucers and half the price๐Ÿ‘. Will definitely have to look into Taro root my wife loves it and we have a place in the yard that stays damp so this sounds like the perfect plant for a not so perfect spot in the yard.

  5. Lots of people saying the biodegradable netting is either not biodegradable or it takes forever, more than a year. Something to watch for.

  6. You have to cook the leaves extra long time or they can be itchy in throat. Be careful for those who are not familiar with these leaves. Like you said they can be toxic when not cooked. I don't recommend just stir frying unless you cook them extra longer time at LEAST 1 hour. Better be safe than sorry.

  7. Im sure i d love eating this root.. but our summers are just too short and cold, greetings from finland ๐Ÿ˜› well, at least we can successfully grow white potatoes ๐Ÿ˜… which i eat a lot all the time ๐Ÿ˜ธ

  8. That little green tool you use to sprinkle the Mycorrhizal what is it and where may I get one? Great video by the way always wanted to plant taro but didnโ€™t no how. Now I know. Thank you.

  9. What is the bush with the blue flowers called? ngl its why i clicked on the video.

Ceanothus. I tracked it down on your channel. Beautiful.

  10. We call this cocoyam โคyou can cook it exactly like you would a sweet potato or a potato ๐Ÿฅ” peal and eat with stew or vegetable. We use it in many ways and each culture has its unique ways of using it plus there are so many species of it too. Must be cooked very well or else it itches the throat

  11. There are dry land and wetland taro. You will not get a high yield if the types of corms you have are wetland and need to constantly be in water–so your wicking beds may be best if you have wetland. Thank you for your video—I so miss poi and stuffed taro leaves.
