Who’s Holding the Camera? Help Behind the Scenes

Like it or not, getting in front of the camera is a standard part of outreach for small farms and business. I’ve never featured my camera setup, but this new gimbal/stabilizer from Powervision (the S1 Pocket-Sized Gimbal) is really handy. It’s small & lightweight, integrates by app with my phone, and I can use hand gestures to get it to follow my face, start or stop recording or take a photo.

  1. Im sure if you could get a small tiny home built on your land that people would love to reserve it for an air b&b

  2. Whaaattt! 💥⚡️🔥. Wow Jason, you never cease to amaze💚💚💚✨💫

  3. Call me old-fashioned, but I really prefer the landscape format and I’m not a Shorts viewer. Please don’t give up on Landscape format.

  4. Was just thinking about this idea of static backgrounds the other day. Do they make these units to attach onto tripods also. They must. Thanks Jason.

  5. Thank you, I always wondered how people took videos. I like shorter videos, I can always squeeze in 5 or 10 minutes easier.

  6. Thank you, Jason. As a beginner in vlogging as I start my backyard nursery, I have recognized pretty early on, I have to up the game on how I record to share content with future local customers. Your video is a game changer! Thank you. I always learn so much from you. Trusted source of information 🌱🙂👍

  7. You do what you gotta do for your business. I watch you on Youtube and I hate the shorts but that is just me, and I don't have to watch the shorts, I can just watch your regular youtube videos. I don't do tiktok either. I am way down here in Florida so not a local customer. I understand and I will still follow you on youtube.

  8. That’s a cool gadget! I can certainly see the use case. It always takes me at least a few tries to set up a shot so that I’m in it 😝
Out of interest sake, what does a compost at a nursery look like. I assume you have one?

  9. I got a gimbal too last year, very neat😊 video quality got improved a lot, esp when I was walking around the garden recording every side of a beautiful rose bush.

  10. You're awesome, Jason. The willingness you have to share knowledge is to be admired.

  11. Hi Jason, highly appreciate your creation & posting of various types of video clips which are full of useful “Tips & Tricks” & related information.

Certainly, this particular information about video recording will be a good lesson to learn for many beginners.

Nowadays, many good gadgets are coming to the market but we don’t have their information, don’t know what to buy, how to use them & after purchasing, how much they will be useful for us.

This is my kind request to you Jason to create more such video clips on various subjects, various products & how to use them.

As video recording is becoming an essential part for many reasons & applications, this is a good clip. No body was even thinking about learning this type of information just couple of years ago as feel it now.

Thanks again for your positive thinking & creating videos in very simple & easy to understand format for all level of your followers. 👍🙏🌹

  12. Learn something from you in every one of your videos, thank you Jason for that. I watch all my YouTube content on a a tablet in landscape style, that’s the orientation I prefer. So I’m glad to hear you plan to keep doing those too. I’m old fashioned, can’t get used to shorts and reels and stories. Very rarely watch those. Probably the combination of portrait orientation and shortness that give me a rushed feeling when watching them. As I’m not near you (Netherlands, Europe) can’t support you locally, and I understand you do what you need to do to reach your local customers. Good luck!

  13. This is very interesting, even though i don't use much tech. I watch content in both formats. When you posted the peony, i turned on the TV. But I also watch shorts to pass the time, so I understand the need to produce that content as well. (PS were roadtripping to the Bradner flower show this Friday, so are making our first visit to your nursery. I'll have to check your hours!)

  14. I wish I could justify a gimbal for my business but I don’t have the viewer base yet.
My biggest problem is with talking clearly, and finding the time to edit… its gotten to the point where I gave up trying to edit and talk well/clearly and just shoot…
I kinda like the end result though, its much more like I’m talking to someone next to me rather than trying to produce a movie.

  15. Wow I love that! I have a gimbal but not that automated. Jason I have a question, my English roses blooms are heavy and end up on floor? The blooms become damaged and I was hoping u can give me advice 🙏 what am I doing wrong? Do they need to have support?

  16. Thanks for that Jason. Could you please tell me, do you use a microphone too and what sort of tripod holds the gimbal?I create gardening YouTubes too (long tem beginner trying to find time) but am hopeless at the technology side of it. Trish The Gong Gardener. Australia. I'm a long time subscriber of yours

  17. My iPhone X has remarkable image stabilization built in, however It does not have the remarkable ability to tell the phone what to do. Impressive and I am sure your videos are going to get even better than they are now. Happy days Jason! Love the content.
