  1. Fantastic !!! Love your video's, please get yourself a tripod, it's amazing to watch you doing your gardening up close, I just love what you do, and planing to implement many , if not all your ideas to my own garden lol, thank you for all your knowledge , you are a great inspiration to me !! Stay well you two, thanks again ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

  2. I pick up such super ideas from your videos. And I set my totes up the way you do because it's so economical, fast, and easy. Occasionally, I'll look at a different gardening channel to see if I can pick up additional tips. But, I NEVER watch any past their comment of how many BAGS of purchased potting soil/mix they use PER plant! No thanks. I'll make my own. Just like Mother Earth Robbie does.

  3. Hi Robbie! Can I use grass clippings that the landscapers throw away after they cut our community's grass? We all don't treat our grass! And my yard I don't treat my grass at all! & The only weeds I have are dandelions. You're a blessing to us ๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. Awe, that was painful ๐Ÿ˜ข hole in tote. LOL. Awe worms, rolly polly bugs. I get so emotional ๐Ÿ˜ข LOL ๐Ÿ˜Š

  5. Not sure if you will read this but I thought of you when I saw this lady make a humming bird feeder. Her title is DIY with Tuba. You come up with amazing easy to do feeders and I thought maybe you would like it. Love this video

  6. I've found by soaking them in water it's easier to separate them w out messing the roots up to much

  7. Robbie I finally have 2 tree collard plants. I learned about them from you. I can't wait to see how big they get. I will dehydrate the leaves for winter chicken food. Thank you for making these videos.

  8. I only use Miracle Grow potting soil too, bought some cheaper soil last year at Lowes, it was terrible ๐Ÿ˜ข

  9. Good to know about the rock hard dirt. Those poor worries. Lol. You grabbed those worms out if the ground faster than the birds! You really do amazing gardening. Thanks again for your video.

  10. You inspired me to start a compost bin last Fall. I added to it all Winter. Today I dumped it out and had the most beautiful compost! I put it in my totes. Thank you from Western Kentucky.

  11. I routinely make more compost-in-place pots to spread through my garden to fertilize in-ground plantings and THEN make next season's soil/compost. I guess I'm "cheap."

  12. Hi Robbie! I always enjoy your passion for teaching and gardening. I wanted to ask if maybe you could make a video about growing flowers? I use your methods for growing veggies but this year Iโ€™m doing flowers as well. Do you grow flowers using the same composting in place? Any secrets for healthy rose bushes and lots of blooms? Do you grow many flowers? Let us know. Thank you so much

  13. Awesome~
Thank you for sharing wonderful ideas and information~๐Ÿค—

  14. I've been harvesting compost from a few totes and sifted some to use for sowing seeds. The empty totes are being filled again with raw brown and green matter and topped with my own soil.
How satisfying, Robbie, to make my own soil. I used to compost in big pots but I learned from you how to garden easy with raised totes. Thank you.
Btw, I have been teaching a neighbor your way of gardening and hope to share your way in a village community garden being planned.

  15. Robbie, I just watched The Hummingbird Effect! This was amazing! Even though we only have one kind that stays with us throughout summer, I'm grateful they come! My son and girlfriend bought me two Mandavilla rock trumpet hanging baskets for my deck. They are red and pink. The hummingbirds love them. Can't wait until they get here! God bless you both โค!

  16. I love your videos, Robbie. They're so positive and inspiring. I always get new ideas from you, so thank you very much!

  17. I use all my trimmings and weeds and helps my garden my collard greens ๐Ÿฅฌ are really large and green

  18. When Iโ€™m walking ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ my dogs ๐Ÿถ I take some plastic bags with me and I pick up leaves ๐Ÿƒ and whatever is good for my container garden Iโ€™m so. Happy that you are doing exactly what I do to keep my plants healthy and growing, when our power company trims trees ๐ŸŒฒ if Iโ€™m lucky I can get them to dump a truck load of mulch my yard and my garden and my fruit trees are producing really well

  19. I bought one of each kind or organic soil plus some composted cow manure and composted mushroom- and decided which I liked the best. Surprisingly they were pretty much the same. But miracle grow soil is in it's on catagory

  20. Or you could just cut the bottoms out and allow the root system to grow down into the earth. That's how I did mine. ๐ŸŒฑ

  21. I just bought two I believe 18 gallon containers to grow my veggies and tomatoes in.
I really hope that I can grow them as well as you 2 can.
I have shredded some paper to go underneath the soil, I also have some homemade compost and tree sticks to put in there as well.

  22. Nebraska 5b zone just did my first two tubs. Found a 50 gal someone threw away and a 18 gal tube. One is for cabbage and the other I put in garlic. Wish me luck.๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

  23. I haven't even looked at my totes yet this Spring because I have been so under the weather with crack bones, and burned hand and foot.. I'm going to add some worm castings and composted manure to the tops and see what will grow.

  24. I have one compost tote in my yard and I'm always amazed how it's all soil the next gardening season. We have enough rain here in Seattle I don't have to worry about watering.

  25. I saw a. Broccoli plant growing through the rocks over the railroad ties at the Seattle train station and I thought of the resiliency of plants

  26. Use the earth!!!!!!! Most of the ground is just inert. If you add some fertilizer you will be fine. Not only will this leak plastic but it looks really bad.
