    A little coarse sand is good to add also… it helps drainage and it's cheap.

I was shocked when I heard people throw away soil. I mean where do they throw it, into the sun? The earth grows perfectly fine in its soil. Humans just have to copy her.

    Hi Gary. Love how you braked it down on the soil & such. I do have a question though. I have a lot of pine shavings from our chickens bedding. And I need your positive input. I want to grow pumpkins this year can I plant the seeds directly into the pine shavings that I use for compost? Do I have to use dirt also?? Can you please tell me how to plant them?? I had problems with plastic containers getting really hot in summer here in Texas. Which temperature can be over 100°f. I'm trying to find another solution for raised garden beds. That I can move easily. Any ideas will help. Thanks

    Hi I'm going to start gardening, I have 2 bags of leaves I didn't get up last year, your saying leaf mold.. I'm thinking I should not get rid of those? I live in the city. My leaves are precious? I have wood chips from the original owner in the front & a pile of tree branches the storm took down, so what the city calls waste is actually going save money & be natural,what a blessing, I need to watch your videos thank you so very much, I want tomatoes so bad😊
