  1. Is there any taste difference in the different varieties? I always soak my seeds before planting, seems to get them going quicker. My grandmother always put okra in her peas when she cooked them. She said it seasons the peas! We like okra and tomatoes and frying it. Think I might try that sauté version you talked about! The old Goat is behind Greg between the two little signs.

  2. Growing okra here. Hail storm this week beat them up a bit. Hoping they recover. The Old Goat is on the shelf between the two framed signs.

  3. The old goat is between the two pictures behind Greg and I also prefer my okra fried. Everything is better fried lol

  4. If you haven't tried it it's a must. Try it raw right off the plant. The dog and I eat half of the Harvest before we eve get back to the house.

  5. I SEE THE OLE GOAT ON THE THIRD SHELF BEHIND GREG BETWEEN THE TWO BOX FRAME PICS ONE SAYING FARM SWEET FARM. YES JUMBELYAH DEFINITELY PRODUCES AND I LOVE IT.

  11. I love okra too! I grow it in raised beds so I'm trying the Green Fingers. I have other varieties growing out. The old goat is behind Greg on the third shelf. I like okra pickled the best.

  12. My favorite way To cook Okra is Fried!! Love, love, love it. My husband likes pickled and what I call, snotty okra. It's all about the fried for me. I freeze the okra after I bread it… when I'm ready to cook okra, I dip the froze okra in an egg bath and dip the okra again in cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, and mashed potato flakes with a little corn starch to help it hang on to the okra, then it's off to the frying pan.

  13. My favorite way to eat okra is fried. I hope to get some started in the garden if the weather would cooperate. The old goat is behind Greg in between the two pictures.

  14. I made okra and tomatoes (okra cooked with tomatoes, peppers and onion served over rice) last year. It was delicious!! Just started my okra seeds indoors Friday here in zone 6A. Old goat between the signs behind Greg

  20. I just started planting. As of 3 days ago, I still had a strip of snow in my front yard. I just ordered 3 different varieties from ya-all. I was told they would arrive early may. I will have to plant in the hightunnel, with the low tunnel if it freezes. Started planting with a vengeance day before yesterday(cold weather stuff😊
