  1. This brings back memories of My Dad. He worked at "Rhea Plastic" a place that made plastic pipe. We had all the hula hoops we ever wanted, any size we wanted.

  2. Thanks for the great idea w/the tubing! Also…thanks even MORE for the humor with the hoola hooping …even when I was a kid I could NEVER "hoola hoop" successfully! You two crack me up sometimes! Happy growing!

  3. Hi Robbie, I have a couple of questions about your melons. What kind are you growing in your tote and how many in a single tote? I want to grow sugar baby watermelons which are round and trellis them with the garden stakes and tubing but not sure how to proceed. Thanks so much for all you do and your great tutorials as you have made all the difference in my gardening.

  4. Thank you so much for always sharing your ideas. I have learned so much from you. I live in SoCal too and I can use ALL your ideas. Your enthusiasm is contagious! I am gardening in-ground and in totes, using tulle & irrigation tubing & pitchers, and best of all, composting in place. What a great way to keep garbage out of the landfill while enriching my soil. I love that your ideas are practical and thrifty. I’ve been watching your videos for about a year and I can’t thank you enough for being such an inspiration.

  5. Love your garden, love your ideas( and Gary’s), your video makes my day, thanks so much👋🥰👋

  6. Hi from Florida 👋 off topic, Robbie this may be a very silly question but, we have a few hummingbirds, male, and female, but for some reason I saw the male hummingbird going underneath the hummingbird feeder and it look like he was either drinking or eating something underneath the bottom (the outside of the bottom) of the hummingbird feeder… he did it a few times. Could he be eating something that’s underneath the bottom of the feeder? I’ve never seen that before they just come and drink from the little flowers on the feeder but I never seen one go underneath its feeder trying to get some thing. Have you seen this before? By the way, there’s nothing wrong with the feeder because I checked it it’s not leaking or anything. Thank you in advance so very much.. 😊

  7. You and Gary are AMAZING and FUN !!! Unfortunately we are still having 40's at night in central Alabama. Never remember cold so late. Thank you for inspiring us. ♥

  8. Hi Robbie & Gary!!! OMG I so love it this is magnificent!!!! Such great ideas thank you for teaching us 🙂 I just love the hoopy hooping 💃🕺 lol

  9. Wish I lived closer. I would love to see your garden. And kitty is so cute. I live in Ohio and it has been so cold here. Today was our warmest day and it was 64. I also wish I knew how to put the videos on. Times are hard when we reach 80.

  10. Oh, this is the best video ever!
    Great content and great humor!
We all need to laugh in life.
This is such a game changer for trellising and endless other projects we have.
Everyone needs to Like, Like Like, this video.
So glad the video was running as you both were trying your hoola hooping skills.
    Thank you!

  11. This is just in time. I was literally telling my husband I planned to go to the store this weekend to get a few tomato cages for my grow bags. I have everything you listed.

  12. Thank you for such an amazing idea Robbie and Gary! This will save me quite a bit of money. I’m a rookie at gardening. This is actually my second year and I went to the extreme of planting quite a few tomato, cucumber, and cantaloupe plants without considering the cost of tomato stakes and trellises.

Your video has been a true blessing for me. Thanks again and not just for this video, but many others. I’ve learned so much from both of you!

  13. I really like this idea!! I may use this to make this into mini hoop houses with the totes to see if I can grow spinach this winter on the Eastern side US. Love the tips y’all share! ❤ Thanks for the hula hoop demonstration, such a cute couple🙂
