Experimenting with bucket composting on a small.balcony in Houston, tx. Using banana peels, orange lemon lime peels. Thanks for the suggestion
What a great idea 👍
Great idea! Now to tweak it for my small balcony garden.
Good timing i have generated so many vegetable scrapes from a winter of food processing 5 gallons worth sitting in garage waiting for spring in Mn. Thanks!!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
How long do sterilte totes last in sun
I watched this and I have planted my first tub/tote with the two plant pots today and I used my kitchen scraps to compost. I have really bad arthritis so this is perfect gardening for me❤
Thank you for this great idea! This solves a real problem!

Wonderful video 👍🏾
Thank you for your great idea.
What a great idea! Thanks a lot….
From the Philippines.
Great idea.💯❤️
Wouldn't a worm tube do the same thing?
I don’t understand how the earthworms are going to get in there when it’s inside a large tub. I want to try this but wondering about the worms
Love it Robbie🤩🎉
WOW!!!!!!🤗🤗🤗😍😍😍😍
Such a great idea thank you for sharing your video. Happy growing season. New to your channel.
This idea is brilliant 🤩
So can plants live on undigested plant scrap now? Nd curious How long does one comp in place take to breakdown because im doing it on the home perimeter but i am a little afraid of animals. I dug deep holes tho.
Robbie- thanks for the encouragement. I believe many ppl are reluctant, because it isn’t “ traditional”” a few ppl tell me containers sitting in a yard is ugly, but ppl need to realize, after these plants grow, they take over. If containers are ugly, I wouldn’t know, I’m so busy eating veg and giving food away, I never notice an “”ugly “container!
Do you ever put meat or dairy in?
Robbie, I just love you ! You make me smile ! Considering where our world is now ! Planting making me feel like I am making a difference in my world 😍!
Robbie I have a question? All the kitchen scraps in totes to compost, will it draw flies, then maggets, equals more flies, won’t it get stinky?🔥. I don’t want my neighbors complaining! You also say grass clippings, if it has some weeds in the grass, won’t weeds grow too? 🔥. Thanks
I do this in ground in my raised beds with herbs in the pots or flowers that deter pests for the plants they are near
Where do you get the nursery containers?
What fertilizer shortage? When we can't grow our food because we rely on foreign chemical fertilizers, it's our own fault for straying from Nature. Feed a worm, and save the world. Thanks guys! 🌎 🪱
Love your videos. I’m coming back and taking note now. ❤
Just curious. Do maggots ever hatch out in the scrap/compost
Thank you for sharing this! Sounds great. What is the purpose of putting the two stacked pots in the other tote bin? Can the two stacked pots just be placed on the ground?
Such a great way to compost in place, and take advantage of the nutrients and bulk!!
Looks like a simple and easy version of a worm tower. One thing to note is that you refer to the worms in your system as earthworms but earthworms are not composters. There are many species of worms that help create compost most notably red wigglers. They feast on your kitchen scraps and their castings are the compost. Earthworms eat dirt/soil and will not create compost. Thanks for the video!
What about garlic?
Ich habe die Frage. Die Pflanze oben im Topf wuchst nicht die Wurzeln tief in die Topf unten, zu Kompost?
I've been building my compost piles in a couple plastic containers and I'm getting TONS of flying bugs. Gnats or something. I layered with dirt, kitchen scraps- no meat. Should I throw everything away and start over? Going to watch this video.
