For the fish, I broiled pompano and then garnished with lemon slices and oregano from the backyard garden. The mixed vegetables is called “laswa” made with kabocha squash, string beans, okra and shrimp. For dinner, I made a popular Persian stew called ghormeh sabzi, a slightly different version – with okra.
