  1. Why paint black and not Shou sugi ban?

Will anything else be done with the hemisphere? Lights installed inside? Make it look like a giant turtle?

  2. In terms of the time and obvious budget restriction for this project, the remit has been fulfilled well! The distracting ventilation has been hidden and the lovely stone feature draws attention! It would be ideal to see the onsen invest more in the planting and atmosphere, but that is not the decision of the gardeners in the end..

  3. 石のオブジェは斬新なアイデア
    企業やお店の場合は予算にある程度余裕があるだろうから、どんな庭になるか楽しみ

  4. One week to do it so no pressure. Love the stone dome. All that work and then to remove the sand after and it still remains intact was genius, even though it virtually looks the same. Great job.

  5. Love the guy with the brightly coloured tees and the floppy hair, he was there in your last video too, IIRC, say hi to him

  6. That stone dome is such an amazing feature! Can't wait to see how it comes together in the end! By the way, I like the intro with the map, and your opening shots around the area are very beautiful and cinematic!

  7. Another great series to follow! Scaled & (maybe) applicable for a DIY project, to create a beautiful Japanese garden in a narrow & wide plot – addressing modern conveniences like AC units, pipes, etc. Great artisans' more dramatic, creative & beautiful solutions. In removing the sand of the rock dome…are they putting a light source inside?

  8. That stone sphere is amazing. I’ve never seen anyone build a thing like that. There’s your first eyecatcher! I’m really curious about how you proceed with this garden..👍

  9. That dome is remarkable!! And it looks like you are succeeding with your endeavors in promoting the JGTV and interest in this type of garden…. congratulations!

  10. I waited a long time to see these two masters again. I am very happy. Thank you for sharing the video of this team.

  11. あの組石のドームの中に明かりが灯るのかな?
    小径がある路地のようになるのかな?
    メンテナンスがし易い素敵なお庭になるのでしょうね。
    早く完成が見たいです!

  12. Didn't expect to see anything over the holiday so this is a bonus !!! Great video of course … please keep up the great series

  13. Awesome work as ever, be interesting to see if a light is placed inside the stone dome.
Also you guys have got to do merch, I'd wear a Japan Garden TV t-shirt with pride 😎

  14. Big job for a short timeframe but it’s started really well. That stone piece is beautiful, very reminiscent of old building techniques

  15. What a way to end the year! I adore these videos! So inspiring! Happy New Year to everyone Japanese Garden TV! Health, Wealth and Happiness in 2022 🥳
