Hey guys! I received this argyroderma barerooted in the mail few days ago. It started wrinkling at the top a few days later which i then moved it to a pot. Have not watered it at all and its in a shaded spot slowly acclimating to light.

Im guessing this is a sign of stress from travelling, but could it be something else? Any help is appreciated!

They tend to do this when they’ve been repotted. Once it’s properly rooted it will fill back up again. Water very lightly.

  3. Based on the position of the wrinkles and the fact that they stop abruptly partway down the leaves, I reckon this is sunburn. —pretty common for plants being moved to a new location, especially after shipping. If that’s the case, there’s not much that can be done to repair the damage except wait it out. New leaves will replace the old ones next spring and the plant will look good as new.

I see you’ve been careful about acclimating the plant to light, so maybe I’m wrong 🤷
