Thrift shopping for vintage and antiques is my favorite thing to do! Today we go shopping at a massive Victorian Estate Garage sale in search of unique antiques and vintage home decor & furniture. I also check my local Goodwill thrift store for any awesome items to decorate with for the seasons ahead. Farmhouse decor from Joanna Gaines Magnolia is a huge trend right now! I score true Magnolia designer velvet chairs on facebook marketplace for a fraction of retail!

Selena, have you heard of a plate rail? Used in your age home and used for those darling plates like yours. Sometimes plates are pulled and used for dinner service. Love you sweetheart and praying for you.

Holy cow-that’s my piano! The same one. I found mine at an auction and bought it for $30 because my grandma had the same one and since it was local I thought it may have been her’s. That is one HEAVY piano-has a huge piece of brass inside.
Love the table and chairs. They're stunning. If you want to fix the veneer, I'd just patch the 2 large missing pieces. Dashner Design or Thomas Johnson on YouTube are excellent in explaining how to do repairs. 😊

Great buys and thank you for sharing with us, I really enjoy your style, taste and your devotion to family. You are a little busy birdie always decorating and adjusting your nest. This was fun!
Bondo will fix that veneer. It’s not hard at all. Mix small batches at a time. It doesn’t take stain well, though.

When you are done with the repair you might try Minwax Polycrylic Clear Matte finish to give it a protective coat. Doesn’t yellow like some varnish.
So was the fish for Pete, or was he just helping? He looked so dang giddy when he was carrying it out! You have to update us!
Selena, I love the table and cushion chairs. They both look like a perfect match. The plates are beautiful and the detail on them are very artistic. It was nice seeing Pete doing a haul. Seeing him with that fish was so funny.

For your table, why not put a protective coating on it if it's bare wood then put a glass top on it without doing anything with the veneer. I love those chairs!
