Retaining Wall Construction #backyard #retainingwall #landscape

After building my pool and getting all the landscaping right, I decided I needed to finish off the last side of my yard. I needed to build a retaining wall, which would be around 12″ high to keep my yard from sluffing off. I used my lawn edger to cut the grass into manageable sizes so I could use them in my front yard where an old flower bed was. Once the grass was removed, I had to fully remove the sand from my property, which meant I had to load it into my truck and dispose of it. luckily, a friend needed it. Once that was done, I plumed in some irrigation, planted three queen palms, and mocked up the retaining wall. When I was happy with how the retaining wall looked, I ensured the blocks were sit by hammering them with a mallet and then locked them into place using some Loctite PL500 landscape adhesive. I finished this little piece off with some 3/4″ crushed limestone.
