The leeks I rooted from the end cuttings of store bought leeks are so happy.
Once I planted them out in the leeks container, they took off in their growth and are now making seed heads, also called ‘scapes’, just like garlic scapes.
I just let the seed heads flower rather than picking the scapes off or pulling the leeks out for eating. I’ll let them grow up again in the fall and enjoy them then.
