photo from the seller, it should arrive next week! it looks like it’s about to come out of dormancy? or maybe it’s discolored from just traveling across the world recently, hard to tell
I’ve read what Steven Hammer has to say about this plant, but a few questions remain, especially regarding how I should pot it.
(I’d also love to hear any general advice from someone who has it!)
from what I gather, it has roots that resemble conophytum. so fine roots, a robust system, but shallow. so a deep pot (like lithops pots) would probably be overkill
so I’m planning to pot it like a conophytum. a 8cm/3inches tall ceramic pot, with my sifted mesembs mix (half soil, half perlite with added akadama).
thoughts? (prayers? haha)
I’m not a complete mesemb noob, but this is going to be the most expensive plant in my collection, so just being extra safe!
