=================

On today’s episode of Homeworthy, we’re taking you inside designer Dean Yoder’s extraordinary Long Island home. Dean and his husband Jonathan Grimm completely revamped the Dutch colonial home after years of neglect and turned it into the sanctuary of their dreams.

With a 30-year collection of 18th century antiquities shared between Dean and Jonathan, a surprise awaits you around every corner. Inside you’ll find a full suit of armor, a bust of Neptune made out of seashells, and everything in between. Dean’s keen eye for design continues outside with gorgeous gardens— and even a Pagoda style chicken coop that transports you to another world. Enjoy!

  1. Absolutely fantastic home and storytelling. You have curated the most magnificent home from perfect craftsmanship and vision. What a great couple: "Frick and Frack"! ❤

  2. Very interesting and loved home. I would switch out the white plastic outlet covers

  3. Best Homeworthy so far! Loved Dean's way of telling the story of the house and garden. Both of them so gifted!❤

  4. the house is beautiful but more than the house…. you two are so very beautiful…. kiss/kiss 🥰

  5. Has anyone else ever noticed that the people interviewed on Homeworthy use"I", "my" "mine", "me", even when they have a spouse. "My house", "my kitchen", etc. Me, Me, Me. And we wonder why young people are self-absorbed. So why do I watch Homeworthy? I like how people have furnished their home but I watch without sound now. When the me, myself, and I begins, it mute time.

  6. They could charge admission for tours. I had to watch this a second time to take it all in. I LOVE it.

  7. You’ve shared many amazing homes and owners but this is my favorite, which is astonishing because the style is really not my aesthetic. This was a truly “home worthy” home and the owners the epitome of my definition of gentlemen.

  8. I love your videos because you linger on all the beautiful decor and tell stories. The only critique I have is that the camera stays on the narrator while he speaks about a piece of decor. The narration is necessary, but so is seeing the item.

  9. this has to be hands down my very favorite home tour. I adore homeworthy and really feel as if its all so far removed from my life in every way. Well, I live down the road from this beautiful home in a co op at pearsall apartments. we bought here so we could spend summers and visit my son,as we are retired and live most of the year in Florida, anyway I picked Glen Cove because its so green and lush and feels so much more removed from queens or mineola where we were. I happen to drive by this house quite often on my way to stop and shop which is so pretty of a ride, and every time I passed this house I would think to my self " I wonder who lives in this big beautiful home" " I wonder what it looks like inside ,it must be wonderful" Well the odds of ever being able to get inside were zero , lol! till Homeworthy. I cannot say how excited i was when i tuned in to watch this video and realized it was my favorite house up the road!!! wow!!! what a special treat. The home is lovely and the owners seem warm and kind. I so much enjoyed seeing this tour . Now when I drive by I just Smile and Know. Thanks Homeworthy

  10. Such a lovely couple with a beautiful home. The sense of color is sumptuous! And kudos to the husband's woodworking skills. He's truly an artist! And the house is styled with such care. Wishing them many happy years in their stunning home!

  11. When can I come & stay ? So beautiful. Love American ideas of Europe I'm English & I collect nothing on this scale but more is more less is a bore ! Love it

  12. amazing… they are such an adorable couple. i just love the part at 58.40 when one starts saying how he loves having guests over but his husband doesn't yet they still have gusts over all the time. what a perfect couple i love it. they understand that they both have needs which must be met and they do what they have to do to be happy. <3 perfection. 🙂 and isn't it everyone's dream to have one of those beautiful greenhouses in a garden, hidden away from the world…

  13. First, I love the length of this episode. The house is a wonderful labor of love, but what I really love is this couple – their love and respect for each other is beautiful to see. Wish they were my neighbors.

  14. Gorgeous house and beautiful stories. How talented they are! The Neptun, the cabinet, the pogoda and fountain? They are perfect for each other! I also appreciate how humble both gentlemen are. I hate shows when people are pretentious and showing off their wealth. They did so much by themselves and it's just WOW!
I'm still looking for the handy half as my head is full of ideas and inspirations. One of my favorite episodes on this chanel. By the way im little hesitant to watch 30 min video, but with this one I could sit for 2 hours straight 😊.

  15. Absolutely love the house, it has a life and soul . So many beautiful things there, but most amazingly that none of them seems out of place .. Love it

  16. 👍👏❤️so interesting, many things to see creating such an inviting cozy space – I would come over for dinner or tea lol! 🎉👍👏😊 Actually from the look of the outside it doesn't seem all those rooms are in there 🤷 and the gardens are so special as well! Beautiful home ❤️

  17. Oh what fun! Such love, high energy and intellectual curiosity in this home. Thank you for cheering us all up with a sneak peak into someone's labour of love. All sorts of little corners of rooms to press pause on and then study for tips and ideas.

  18. Oh my word what a stunning, stunning house. There would be No unhappiness if one lived there. Just when I thought that I had seen it all there was plenty more to see. Definitely for the Maximalist test at Heart! ❤️

  19. The Greek statuary in the sunporch is actually Apollo , not Zeus …. But now he is Neptune. lol

  20. Everything is just Over The Top here … Too much of a "good thing" is still too much .. The home reminds me of any designers Showcase House . Usually a big old mansion that was down on its luck for a period of time and it becomes a Charity Venue where 10 or more interior design companies get one room to do as a showcase to show themselves to the general public . So what you ended up with was every room overly decorated .. rooms competing against each other . HAVING SAID ALL THAT …. The house really is stunning

  21. This is much more than a home tour. This is a refreshing love story of two guys who have passion for art and design. Nothing short of amazing!

  22. What a charming couple living a charmed life in this delightful home. I would absolutely love to attend tea or one of their wonderful evening soirées. It was sweet hearing how they met and their relationship. What a lovely couple ❤

  23. It's just a collection of the best antique treasures. Mr.Yoder and husband Mr.Grimm have style, you eighter have it or not, it can't be learned. It is a house meant for the best of the best. Well done❤❤🤗🤗🤗👍

  24. I love how they made everything to fit them. Gorgeous home. Lovely couple. Gorgeous gardens as well 💚🤎🩵
